Take it easy with the ITB. That can really hurt when it flares up!

thanx don - it sure is nice to be active again. are you still doing SF, cause you haven't been posting lately? I haven't been doing SF recently :( I had been doing British Military Fitness workouts in the mornings. 45mins of pushups, situps, burpees, sprints etc. But then I was in South Africa for ...

Steve,

Looks like we're being a bit slow on the boards and no one has welcomed you yet. Apologies.

So anyway:

If you promise not to tell it was 3:29. I am not fast at all and sometimes hate to use "run", but sounds so much better then "jog"... :D . I am doing the Las Vegas Marathon Dec 6 so I am trying to make sure I get through it without a heart attack  . Quite frankly, the fact that you can run 18...

Just out of interest, what time did you do your 18 miles in?

I'm gradually building up distance after years of inactivity but my body now seems to have a set 8min/mile rate which I'm finding frustrating!

Your right Don, I am quite upset with posting such times on a board of such heroes as yourself....sigh. I will work harder at becoming more of an inspiration. :D Yup, L3 - I'm such a hero! I've been off SF for a while, doing British Military Fitness to build up a core level of fitness. My plan is t...

Well I did it and as I suspected failed miserably. Looks like I will be at L7 for awhile L7D3 6:56:12...sigh..I am so embarrassed  I'm amazed you had the nerve to post such an awful time on these illustrious boards  No need to be embarrassed as, quite frankly, you should be an inspiratio...

Yes. Gently.

Don't be over-exuberant and over do it. Give yourself time to ease back into it.

Great to have you back!

This is working well for me. The normal sessions usually include pyramid workouts (7 reps, jog to tree and back, 6 reps, jog etc etc) of pushups, burpees, situps, crunches etc. They do a running club as well which is some pretty intense interval training. I am glad you are on my side with that Don. I am going to do L6 D1 again today and do it s-l-o-w-l-y to insure lockout on the pull ups. I was also wondering since I see it in some peoples logs: Can you stop the clock during D1 and D2 to take breaks? Seems like nonsense, but hey if it is legal I am ...
