Re: Jefferson's Log

Week #7 Monday - September 20, 2010 L1D1 Total Sets - 25 My wife decided to be a bit competitive today, which helped me push for that last couple of sets. Wednesday - September 22, 2010 L1D2 Total Time - 3:28 My pull ups are coming along nicely. I still have to switch to jumpers after a couple of pu...

Re: Jefferson's Log

I'm way behind on my workout logs. I've kept up with doing the workouts themselves, I just haven't logged them. I'm going to spend the next little bit catching up! Thanks for staying tuned and being patient with me.

Re: Jefferson's Log

Friday September 10, 2010 L1D3 Week #5 Total time: 5:59 I managed to do two full pull ups, followed by 24 jumping pull ups. I've started switching back and from from pull ups to chin ups, trying to make sure to work as many muscles as I can. I'm still amazed at the progress, and really proud that I'...

Re: Jefferson's Log

Wednesday September 8, 2010 Week #5 L1D2 Total time: 4:14 That's a pretty big improvement over last week. Part of the reason I was able to speed it up is that I was happy enough with my first two pull ups in the first set that I counted them as full pull ups. They weren't exactly pretty, but they we...

Re: Jefferson's Log

Monday September 6, 2010 Week #5 L1D1 Total Sets: 20 I improved last week's number of sets by three, so I'm pleased with that. I'm so close to doing a real pull up that it's kind of frustrating. I did make a new milestone, however. I've never actually stuck fully to any workout program for a full mo...

Re: Jefferson's Log

Friday September 3, 2010
Week #4
L1D3

Total Time: 5:34

That's not too far off of the 5 minute mark considering I'm still doing three jumping pull ups to one regular pull up.

Re: Jefferson's Log

Wednesday September 1, 2010
L1D2
Week #4

I managed 5 sets in 4:59. I'm really pleased with that since I was doing three jumping pull ups for each set instead of one. I still can't say that I have a true pull up under my belt, but I think it's coming soon.

Simplefit is awesome!

Re: Jefferson's Log

Posting this one a couple of days behind: Monday August 30, 2010 L1D1 Total number of sets: 17 The drop is not surprising since I'm now doing three times the pull ups. There's no way I could have done 51 pull ups of any kind before starting this program. I'm definitely seeing a difference. *edited t...

Re: Jefferson's Log

Thanks for all the great advice Neil. I'll definitely have to look into some rings for my pull up bar. Unfortunately, I didn't check out this thread before doing my L1D3 workout. I did, however, complete it doing three jumping negatives to one pull up. In other words, I did 30 negatives. I'm pretty ...

Re: Jefferson's Log

Wednesday August 25, 2010 L1D2 Week #3 Total time: 3:29 I'm still doing jumping pull ups. I did not realize until Neil pointed it out above that I need to be doing three of these jumpers to equal one regular pull up. I want to do this right to get the best gains possible, so I'll be changing to 3 = ...

Re: Jefferson's Log

Hi Neil, no I haven't been doing three jumping pull ups per actual pull up. I looked back over the instructions and saw that was in there. I must have missed it! I'll go ahead and log my time for this week so far, but I'll start on Friday doing three jumping pull ups. Thanks so much for pointing thi...

Re: Jefferson's Log

Friday - August 20, 2010 L1D3 Total Time: 2:35 A pretty good improvement over last week's time. I am still doing jumping pull ups. I can feel myself edging closer to that first real one. I can't wait. I'll probably stick with level one for at least another week or two. I'm a teacher and school start...

Re: Jefferson's Log

Wednesday - August 18, 2009 I didn't take the time to record each set this time around, but my total time was: L1D2 Total Time: 3:59 That's also a good improvement over last week. It's amazing to already see results. It makes me anxious to see where I'll be in six weeks or six months. I'm really loo...
