L1D1 with less than perfect form

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x7LUuWfyvhk I recorded this a while back before I corrected my form, so don't make the same mistakes I did! Things to work towards when doing the squat try to keep the back more straight and upright heels on the floor http://www.simplefit.org/squat.wmv On pull ups you...

You're welcome to use the video I did a while ago, but I had pretty bad form in it so you probably wouldn't want to use it as a good example.

Hey all. I'm on R&R right now so I thought I'd check in how this site is doing. Looks like it's been growing steadily in the month I've been gone. Congratulations Kevin!

SF got me in shape for my military service.

If I hadn't done simplefit for the 10 weeks I did it (up to level 5) I'm pretty sure I would've collapsed on our first march with a full pack. Naturally I don't have much free time during the week so I haven't been able to continue with the program, but I have been able to squeeze in a few 5k runs n...

Thanks for the response, I'm doing a lot better now. I stopped doing simplefit for a while and instead focused on just cardio (running, rowing) to minimize the chance of another back "seizure" (sounds a lot more painful than it actually is, but still no fun at all). I've been living with my scoliosi...

I was still feeling a bit of impingement after my first round of day 2, so I've decided to play it safe and take the entire week off. I guess I'll do more cardio instead since that doesn't seem to cause back pains.

I just came back from the Salvation Army again, and I bought another indoor rower. This time it's one with a flywheel instead of pneumatic resistance. The one I bought before was in pretty bad shape and made the most irritating screeching noises when I used it, so I'm glad I found this one. The best...

I'm happy to say that the back pain is gone now after a few days of physical therapy exercises (which included squats, can't seem to get away from those). I just went for a long run today and my back held up, so I'm doing day 2 tomorrow.

I hurt my back yesterday, so I'm skipping day 3 and doing my physical therapy exercises instead. I hope the pain (it's bad) is gone in time for next week. I think I've been neglecting my physical therapy a bit, so I may decide to skip the entire next week to concentrate on that.

I'm an addict as well, I've been following the series since the beginning. Since I live in Switzerland, I have to download the episodes so I'm up to speed. TV's still showing the second season as far as I know. I've gotten a friend hooked as well and now we get together every other week to watch two...

Just came back from doing a 30 minute run, followed by some HIIT on the rower and stepper. And all that before breakfast. Damn I'm starting to feel athletic. Thanks SimpleFit! I really should've taken a picture before I started. I'm starting to see a six-pack now, and my obliques are visible for the...

How do you do planks "for time"? How long are you supposed to stay in that position?

The way I'm doing it is to do the work in the proper order but with as many breaks as I want. So for level 4 I would do sets of 5 pull ups 4 times (reaching 20) and taking short breaks between each set. I broke up the pushups into sets of 10 each and a set of 11 at the end. Since the squats are easy...
