from what i understand... just because your body increases the overall number of fat cells when you get fat... that doesnt mean they do anything if you return to a "normal" weight range.

we had some rather fat animals... so we started buying the slightly more expensive Evo Nova brand pet food (dogs and cats both like it). 100% protein. No fillers. The best part... all of our animals lost weight... and they dont over eat the cat food... so... despite being a higher up front cost... t...

hrm... my body doesn't let me do push-ups with my elbows parallel to my body... at best i can manage a 30 degree angle. My family has a history of shoulder issues and i think this is one of them. I can perform the entire range of motion with my shoulder... but i have zero leverage attempting a push-...

Level 2, Day 2

My limbs have been sore for two days. This is odd to me... because i've been doing these workouts for a couple of months now... and this is the first time in a long time that my muscles felt sore. I am wondering if it is more diet related than exercise related. Today was simplefit Level 2, Day 2. 5 ...

yeah... i have the little guide book they give you at enlistment... it's got all kinds of full-body stretches and calisthenics. i find it really interesting how the military is very focused on bodyweight exercises... i guess it saves a lot of money to not have to invest in gym equipment. But hey... ...

Level 2, Day 1 (part V) ???

So much to talk about... so little exercise. Last Friday i went to the MEPS facility in Sacramento to do my Army Pre-Enlistment Physical. I passed... with a few moments that did not disqualify me... but made me question just how out of shape i used to be. I can look at my current athletic ability......

i try to run about 3-4 times a week. But i only run sprints once a week. They can be really tough on your legs and i dont want to over do it. Yes... i sprint for the entire 1/4 mile. That is what... about 440 yards or so. I dont sprint as fast or hard as i would if i were sprinting 1/8th of a mile.....

i am really shocked at how much of an improvement three weeks of running sprints just once has made on my overall time and endurance.

sprints = great. marathons = dumb.
