Back from flu induced rest week. I did Level 4 Day 1, except I thought I needed to do 5 instead of 4 pushs. Push ups became tough and pecs became fatigued at round 18. Made it to Round 24 at 16 minutes and stopped. I did 5 Overhead L hangs for the first time. Geez, not easy. I held for, well I didn'...

I agree both sides are probably good to try. I did this based on watching a cross fit video of tabata push up workout. I think it was 20 sec. on/10 sec. off and the guy and girl would both hit a benchmark before the 20 sec. hit, and would break so as not to reach failure too soon. Thursday, Sept. 13...

Wednesday, sept. 12 L5 D1 Improvement. 23 rounds strong, compared to grinding out 21 the past 2 weeks. Did 1 round per minute until I hit the 17 minute mark and then did 2 rounds per minute the final 3 minutes. I think I could have done this a minute earlier and got 24-25, but didn't want to risk fa...

Monday, Sept. 10

Simple Fit Hills

7 Rounds (1 min. sprint, 2 minute walk)

7 was tough and was just able to get through it.

Just realized I gave myself a 9 day reprive from the hills. I did more work and with less exhaustion then the last 6 round workout on Sept. 1. Rest is good.

On road to visit family, using two rest days to hit L5 D3 on Sunday and see if I can cut back last weeks time of 6:25 to 6:00 or less.

Have a great weekend.

Thursday, Sept. 6

L5 D2

Each round took approx. 1:10 for total time of 5:50.

Did pull ups on bar, used wide grip. Found it more difficult than rings, maybe because I'm conditioned to the rings and not the bar.

20 minute basketball workout followed.

Wednesday, Sept. 5 Decided to take 2 rest days between each workout this week. Added today a 30 min. basketball workout. First since I started the simple fit program. I can't believe how much stronger I felt after taking 2 months off the court. I trained strictly basketball wise without building a g...

Tuesday, September 4

Cutting out hill running this week to see if that gives me ample rest and recovery for D2 and D3 workouts.

I doubt I can go from 6:25 to 5:00 on D3, but I would like to get it closer to 6 min. this week and continue going down until I hit the 5 minute mark in a few weeks.

Monday, Sept. 3 L5 D1 (2nd time) 21 rounds again. I did each round in 30 sec./rest 30 sec. for the first 17 rounds. Then tried to amp up to beat last weeks score of 21. On round 20 and 21 I had to do the pull ups one at a time, that prevented me from gaining any time and getting in 22. I hit round 2...

Day 3- Rest or No Rest

I have always been under the assumption that the clock is constantly running on Day 3 workout. So if you want to get under 5 minute window, you want to rest as little as possible correct? Or do you stop the clock if you stop to rest? It makes sense that it keeps running to push yourself to the brink...

Hit Wall at L5 D3- Where to now?

Finished in 6 min. 25 sec. Do I repeat Level 5 again or drop down a few levels for next week and then back to 5 the following week? I took a weeks worth of rest between Level 4 and Level 5. Didn't feel as strong this week. Work stress and hours increased greatly during the rest week (now that school...
