Re: Art50's Log

Hey Pilgrim, Well seems like I am in line for a lot of extra push ups then! I was a little worried about repeating last weak and the associated muscle/tendon? strain, so I went a bit easier for the remainder of last week. I'll start in this week on making sure to incorporate walk by sets for extra w...

Re: Art50's Log

W2 L1D3 - 7:22 Pull ups: 8,2 Push ups again were my weakest point. 6,3,2...remaining were one at a time. Any suggestions on how to do remedial work or supplemental exercises that will help during off days? Both starting SF for a second time, and my first iteration push ups felt like my limiting fact...

Re: JK's log

Congrats on making it to L2!

Interesting idea about Day 2 and 3. I know the program is structured to provide a little bit more of a break and force you to work in different speeds and groups of sets, but I could use the extra work for push ups.

Re: Pilgrim1312 log

Hi Pilgrim, I only just started with SF again, so no room to talk; but when you mentioned CC and not getting into it much I can definitely understand. I gave CC a try a while ago and had trouble sticking with it. I felt at one point I found a good compromise by incorporating only one or two of the s...

Re: Art50's Log

W2 L1D2 - 15:10 total time no stops. Breaks 2:00 minutes a piece.

Push ups were the most difficult. By fourth round had to break them into sets of two, and last round pretty much had to go one at a time.

Re: Art50's Log

Hi all, I know it has been a long time, but I am trying to get started on Simplefit again. Last time I only managed to do ~2 months or so before losing consistency, so going to give it another try. W1 L1D1 - 32 rounds. Felt pretty good, maybe even could squeeze in another round or two; however, this...

Hey Reed913,

Yea I forgot to write that in, but moved up to level 3 this week!

Re: Art50's Log

W5 L2D3 - 4:13 (Pull-ups 7,6....it felt easier distributing it this way, not sure if better to do fewer but larger sets or go from most in the beginning.) (Push ups - 10,5,5,3,1,1,1 - Though faster, still felt really tough...would like to be able to finish stronger)

Re: Can you 'break down' the sets on day 3?

Hello Ralmeida, I believe something along the lines of your first suggestion would be best; however, you do not want long rest periods. For example, I'm on Level 2, and I do 9-10 pull ups then wait 5 seconds do 1 pull up, etc until 13. Same thing for push ups, last time I did 10,5,5,3,2,1 Whichever ...

Re: Supplemental Ab or Yoga routine?

Hi Level1Day1, I am quite new to SF as well, and can't say much in regards to yoga, but may I suggest convict conditioning core series? www.scribd.com/doc/31798365/Convict-Conditioning-Charts Scroll down to "The Big Four Exercises Summary Sheet" and look at the "leg raises" series. Step 1 or 2 might...

Re: Art50's Log

Thanks KTG! Excited to see if I can head up to L3 in another week or two! When I first started SF I was hoping to try to continually do all the pull ups in D3 in one set as I move up, but seeing my progress and seeing other people's progress, that looks impossible. W5 L2D1 - 28 rounds. Eight round i...

Re: Art50's Log

Missed running, will see how tomorrow goes on that account. W4 L2D3: 5:56 Pull-ups: 9,2,1,1 Push-ups: 10,5,5,3,2,1 Really ran out of steam on both of those towards the end. Might starting doing the "every time you walk by do 1 or 2" routine and see if that can contribute + help on form. Post-SF: 1x2...

Re: Reed913's Log

Welcome Reed913!

I've only been at SF for a few weeks, but I've noticed form can play a big role in how well a set goes. Hopefully your focus on form now will pay good dividends for future SF experience.

Best of luck!
