Going away... but not for too long.

Well, I may have to take sometime off from posting for a while. I will be deployed to the Middle East with my guard unit for the months of December and January (a very short tour!). We will have access to a gym and to the internet while we are there, but I don't know how everything will work out log...

Thursday night: L5D3 : 6:28 Wow, exhasted! This is getting tougher. The pullups had some slight kipping toward the end. Squats only went slightly below parallel to protect the knees. This past weekend my son and I did some camping with our Cub Scout pack. Got down to 23 degrees overnight. I burned 1...

I can't do that. I can't make myself get out of bed for anything that doesn't have immediate consequences if I'm late. I've also got to get a kid out of bed and ready for school. Evenings are when I have time to push through a workout. Speaking of which, I had intended to do L5D3 last night, but the...

Keith O's progress

First time postin' anything in the progress section. But I certainly have progressed since I took my first measurements in September. Sept: weight: 185 lbs, body fat: 17%, pull up max: 12, push up max: 25. Oct: weight: 176 lbs, body fat: 16%, pull up max: 13, push up max: 30. That's a net loss of 9 ...

Naples, your workouts are inspiring. I wish I had the time to bike in the morning and then come back for a workout in the afternoon.

Norman, now that you've been doing that running routine for a little while what are your thoughts? Are those full one-minute sprints pretty tough?

Oh I forgot to mention. I tried a one armed pull up. Couldn't even budge. Just the grip with full body weight is tough. The one armed push up was a little better. I could get just over half way down and back up, but no lower than that. And I also tried a handstand push up. Pretty much the same. That...

Thanks Nuggets. I think the hard part is to keep from slipping back into my old lazy routine. I've got to keep the motivation going. Speaking of motivation. Broncos won last night after a horrible loss last game. So, that got me pumped and off the couch. I did a modification of L5D2. 5 rounds of pul...

Man it is sooo hard to get back into the swing of things after taking time off. Finally forced myself last night. 2 mile run in 16:21 L5D1 : 16 rounds The run felt really good. The pace was faster than usual, but I was able to keep going. It was pretty cold out, so it took a while to get all the joi...

I'm the oddball. I voted for push ups. Actually, I find all three exercises equally challenging with simplefit. Just challenging in different ways. With pull ups I can do a bunch and am limited only by my strength. I stop only because my body simply won't do any more. But no soreness or exhaustion. ...
