Re: Back at it - how is everyone doing

Hey folks Just a post to find out how everyone is doing on the simplefit program? I stopped it previously due to getting a bit bored if it. I want to get back on it to run it in conjunction with training for a triathlon. In also looking for another 10lbs in me bodyweight wise and I do remember bein...

Re: Sean_x's log

Here I am this month (June 2013), 3 years and 3 months after the photos above. Suprised myself today when looking at these pics, the fat has peeled off inperceptibly slowly. I've still got some weight loss to go, and am 85kg, 187 lbs right now. Didn't do anything special except eat less (especially ...

Re: Sean_x's log

Time to post some embarrassing photos. I did'nt really want to post them, but I had a look back and saw how chubby I was in these pics - I'd forgotten over time! I took the pics when I made a decision to loose the fat and get in shape - as it may be the 'last chance' (so I told myself). I had been 1...

Re: franklymydarling's log

Hi Frank... Good to read you're post. I think you're right when saying that most people want to loose weight here. Personally I'm not obese (now, but was just in that catagory a couple of years ago if you go by that ridiculous BMI scale rubbish), and am here to loose a few pounds of fat while mainta...

Re: robbiew's log

Tennis elbow isn't for wimps, thats for sure! It took mine over a year to get better - and now 1.5 years on I can aggrivate it very easily if I overdo the exercises, dig too much in the garden, mix too much cement etc. Its amazingly debilitating! I found that rest was the only cure for me, unfortuna...

Re: Sean_x's log

Thanks KTG. L6D1 (11-05-13) = 21 rounds L6D2 (13-05-13) = 9mins 2secs L6D3 (18-05-13) = 5mins 55secs D1 and D2 were done in a rubbish little gym with no chin-up facility, so pull ups were performed horizontally on a bar over the bench. Felt that I halved my resistance, so doubled the reps for the pu...

Re: Workout Music

Top of my list would the Brittny Spears, Boyzone, Celine Dion, etc.

Seriously!

Then I can zone-out of the noise and focus-in more on my training, take shorter breaks, get it over with and then turn that sh*te off quicker and get on with something else!!!!

Re: What about dips?

I love dips too. Used to do them while holding a dumbbell between my feet till I got to a point where the DB's were too heavy to do this with and started carrying a chain to hang weight from belts with (funnily enough I never carried a belt but would always find an unloved one to use in the corner o...

Re: Question

I seem to do a lot of 'door frame pulls' when away at work - for lack of places to exercise. They are unilateral exercises, so one side at a time. I stand to the side of a doorway, facing it, then with one hand grab around the frame, place feet wider than shoulders and far forward, then bend the kne...

Re: looking for advices

Hi Salim, How are you getting on with your chinn-ups? If you're still struggling and trying to gain strength, then I'd suggest taking things a lot easier, workout only twice a week and don't spend more than 45 mins in the gym. 1.5 hours is fine if you are trying to burn calories, but it will tire yo...

Re: Sean_x's log

L5D1 (14-04-13) = 22 rounds L5D2 (19-04-13) = 1.12, 1.12, 1.02, 1.03, 1.03 total = 5mins 32secs L5D3 (21-04-13) = 4mins 35secs I skipped up to L5 to try to find where I 'fit in' better. Seems this suits me more, and I felt nicely invigorated after each session. All exercises done in garage, pull-ups...

Re: Sean_x's log

Thanks KTG. I'm a stickler with form (as you are - from your first page of logs), it's way too easy to get hurt when 'loose', and it's just cheating oneself.
