Longish slow run/walk -- 45 minutes, ran 3.9 miles by Gmap pedometer estimation. Followed up with 10 pullups.

2/13/09 My favorite kind of "rest" day -- 8 rounds of 2/1s on the heavy bag, abs to follow, 5 minutes warm-up and cool-down. Really went all out a few rounds. May have a slight injury to my left from some funky hooks, but otherwise it was AWESOME. Nothing that fun should be good for you. I get done...

12 minute run -- 1.3 miles. Meh. Didn't really go all out, but still thought I could do better than that. Next time.

Finished off with half-hour shooting hoops.

Rest week madness -- 2/9/09 Ran intervals on treadmill x 5. 1 minute at around 10 mph, 2 minutes at 5 mph. 2/10/09 8 minute run, then 8 rounds on heavy bag, 2/1s. Damn. Figured that was too easy. Not that it was.

Anybody have a line on what the benefits of doing the exercises straight through are, over splitting up the pullups, pushups and squats? In any case, I'll rest week at L1, then go back and repeat L4 as rx'd. Better to do it right...

9.5/4.5

Followed with 4 heavy bag rounds, 2/1.

2/5/09 L4D2 -- unknown time, the whole thing was a mess. Did it at the work gym, subbed dips for pushups, until I realized that 12 dips after 4 pullups is kind of deadly. 2/1/09 Took a nice fast 30 minute walk to and from the bookstore. When you say you intended these to be done in 3-week cycles, what exactly does that mean? Do you follow them according to what level you are on in the main workouts? 1 round every 50 seconds, per cheapo's suggestion of interval timing. Tough, but maybe should have tried for 25. Next time.
