I took Voltarol (same thing as Voltaren) when I had an inflammation of the nerves in my neck (most excruciating pain I've ever felt). It cleared me up in just over a week.

Hope the same works for you.

Take it easy and have a great weekend.

Sorry to hear that Ruli. I remember when I started running again after a long break I threw myself into it and quickly knackered my knee so much so that I could hardly walk. Taking a month of was exceedingly frustrating because I was enjoying it so much. Now I'm pacing myself better. Try to enjoy th...

L2D2 - untimed.

Focused on form. I'm pretty happy with my form in general now, the pullups (alternate grip) feel better - starting from a dead hang, arms straight. If I can resist the urge to chase the clock on D3 I'll be interested to see what my time comes out as.

Well in my part of the world it tends to be cold/wet/windy all of the time.

When it's sunny, we complain it's too hot!

I'm heading to your part of the world later in the year (family in Cape Town and Plett) - I'm waiting until it's your Spring!

As I said, I've been doing runs on the days I'm not doing Simplefit. I've got a nice 3.5mile loop that I do in the morning before heading off to work. It's been great seeing my time gradually improve (even if it is way off where I'd like to be!). Current time is 27:13 - I'm aiming for a sub 25min (t...

I agree with the jogging bit, I've been alternating running (3.5miles) with these workouts, so I'm doing something 6 days a week.

Quite tired by the weekend!

L2D1 - 25 rounds It's 3 less than last week, but it felt so much better! I read Ruli's comment about people chasing the clock on D3 and, while that's definitely true for me, I think the same applied a bit to D1. I was more interested in the number of rounds than the quality of each round. I spent lo...

Nice work Ruli.

I laughed when I read your comments as they're similar to what I just wrote on my L2D3 experience.

As for your elbow, sounds to be like you need to give it some proper rest.

Have a great weekend.

L2D2 - untimed L2D3 - 4:30. While the time was under 5 mins I think my form needs a lot of work, especially on the pull-ups. I'm not convinced I'm doing the full ROM that I should be doing. Next week's going to be tough, I'm at a wedding this weekend so lots of food and wine (and it's really rude to...

I'd expect you to be closer to 5 mins on D3

Take it easy on the elbow though.

L2D1 - 28 reps (neutral grip)

Really quite please by this. The pullups felt easier than they did last week although the extra press-up was tougher than I thought it would be (you were right Ruli!)

That's a fast time! Nice work Norman.

Sounds to me like you don't really need to do L2, could go straight to L3.

That's what got me onto Simplefit in the first place.

I'm just not a gym person but I love the fact that Simplefit is something I can do at home. The routine's look simple but I'm not so complacent by the end of a workout!
