And me!

I'd echo the comments about not overdoing it, it'd be awful if you were out of action for a few weeks.

Looking at the workout, L2 isn't a huge step up (especially as it's still 1 pullup on D1) - so I'll give it a go!

Don't get too disheartened. I'd be happy with that result. Pullups are the killer for me. I'm 5'9" with not a huge amount of muscle action going on. L1D3 with 10 pullups is difficult, I'd definitely struggle to do more. I suspect you'd find L1 too easy. Stick with L2 and the strength will come. You'...

L1D2 - untimed

L1D3 - 3:02 (neutral grip)

I'm going to stick on L1, there's definitely room for improvement on form.

Welcome Prometheus! I won't make any comments about building muscle as I'm not sure it's something that my body's capable of. Chest hair? Now that's another matter entirely!! If you want encouragement then you've definitely come to the right place. It works like this, you keep telling us how you're ...

Great post!

I enjoy running (and used to be quite good) but got lazy.

I'll try to work this into my regime.

40 rounds! Nice work, Norman.

Can't help thinking you should be on L2 (if not L3) after your L1D3: 1min55s.

Any reason you're sticking on L1?

still can't do pull-ups though, the left elbow wouldn't allow me to. over the weekend i made myself i a jig on which i can do neutral grip pull-ups. so i'm on that for now, as i feel chin-ups is too easy. I love your dedication for getting your workout right (I'm sure you'll get much more out of it...

then I got nailed in the left testical with a big rock by my gf (she claims she was trying to hit my stomach). When I read that the first time I thought you actually got a nail in the testicle (must be a language thing, we Brits don't really use 'nail' for getting hit, 'lamped' works well though......

Thanks Ruli.

I'm going to take a leaf out of your book and stick on L1 for a few weeks, working on form, until I don't have to use subs for the pull-ups.

Once I'm happy that I've completed the level 'properly' then I'll move on!

Enough of that now, back to me!! Finally got round to starting over again (think I've finally shrugged off the chest infection). I'm starting from the beginning again due to my confusion over the whole pull-up/chin-up distinction. Turns out pull-ups are harder. Damn, I knew it was too good to be tru...

Judgement day for my job is on Tuesday.
