Re: JoJos Workout Log

Fantastic! That is a real inspiration.

I agree that the levels where the D1 pull-ups increase are the big steps. Still, being at level seven is just stratospheric!

(Oh and making it into the 20+ club on the pull-ups is pretty impressive as well)

Re: Art50's Log

Those are very nice D2 times. I also think doing a little extra work through the week is an OK way to build up. It is an interesting thing that Simplefit starts as a routine for staying in shape, but pretty soon you find yourself thinking through the rest of the week what you can be doing to improve...

Re: JK's log

Very nice job! Keeping at it is the important thing. I also do extra pull-ups and push-ups through the week. But I think you do have to be careful to get in sufficient rest and recuperation time. A lot of us use the lower loads on D2 to put more focus on form.

Re: Satty's Log

Welcome to Simplefit! That's a great start. You obviously have a very strong foundation and should move through these early levels pretty quickly. Level 4 or 5 may start to challenge you a little more.

It looks like you've found your level for at least a few weeks. I'm at about the same place right now, but at your pace you'll likely move ahead. Great work!

Re: Level 5 - Week 12

OK, had to go back out to California, so really off and on. L5D1 - 23 rounds. Slow and steady. Still off from 25 at the end of April. L5D2 - 5:19. Also a little slower than April's 5:09. Still strict 3 minute rests. L5D3 - 12:21. There was almost a 2 week break between D2 and D3. I did keep up with ...

Level 5 Week 10

Off for a few weeks in California. Got in some great running, but not so much on the pull-ups and push-ups. L5D1 - 20 rounds -- Feeling the transition from Spring to Summer. The heat and humidity really slows things down. L5D2 - 5:42 -- A little slower after some big weekend cardio work. L5D3 - 9:51...

Looking forward to the Warrior Dash after-action report. And then it looks like finishing off level 6 will be a triviality. Great job!

Re: JK's log

Nice start. In my view simplefit works because it takes a relatively minimal amount of time (20 minutes 3x/week) and because it has clear metrics for setting goals and seeing improvement. Still, it can sometimes be a struggle to push the button on that timer. If you can get that particular thumb act...

Re: Colen's Log

Still smashing it! There has been much discussion on these boards of whether level 8 is possible. You are definitely pointing in that direction. If you can do this at 70 with some diminished lungs, I can't help but extrapolate that at 30 with full oxygen you would surely be showing us how level 8 go...
