Re: Rosencrantz1's log
W3 L5 D1 - 34 rounds Another 2-round improvement (4 more rounds than my first week at L5). Still not having great form on my 3rd pull-up after the first 7 or 8 minutes. In other words, pull-ups are all solid for the first 8 minutes, then the 3rd of each set starts to falter a bit. Push-ups and squat...

W2 L5 D3 - 5:29
That's a 33-second improvement for me over D3 last week. Maybe next week will be the charm?
I'm definitely struggling with the last 6-7 pull-ups, doing them in sets of 2 or even just 1 at a time. I'm hoping to keep improving my form as I go.

That's a :45 improvement over my L5D2 from last week. Here's hoping I can kick it on D3 this week.

Re: Rosencrantz1's log
W2 L5 D1 - 32 rounds.
Was a 2-round improvement over L5 D1 from last week, but my 3rd pull-up was still not as strict as I would have liked starting about 8 or 9 minutes in. (fully extended at the bottom, yes, but only got my forehead above the bar)
Still, I'd say a bit of progress.

Thanks, brmc -- we shall see, we shall see. My hope is to take a step forward on all my L5 times.

Re: Rosencrantz1's log
Thanks, KTG! I'm glad you feel inspired! I've been a regular gym-goer for 20+ years, and in the last couple of years have made a lot of strides in "smartening up" my work outs. I'm working out less now - in terms of total hours per week - than I ever have, and yet I am in the best shape of my life, ...

L5, D2 - 5:50
I'm eager/curious to see if L5 becomes my 'sticking point' and where I need to hang out for a bit. We'll see what L5, D3 brings.

Re: Rosencrantz1's log
L5, D1 - 30 rounds.
About half-way through (10 min mark or so), my 3rd pull-up of each set started to get a little wonky. Not terrible, but definitely not as strict as the form on the first two of each set.
Still, I was glad to get through 30 rounds at this level.

L4, D3 - 3:34
A pretty big jump from L3, D3 -- I definitely was feeling the pull-ups for this. Form was solid, but certainly not perfect throughout. Pushups were a bit harder too.
Ready for Level 5 next week, though.

Re: Rosencrantz1's log
Thanks, Yahel - no need to feel embarrassed. We're all just working on making ourselves healthier, and all deserve credit for that, whatever point we are in the journey. L4, D2 - 4:17 n.b.: on my D2 days, I'm doing chin ups and diamond push-ups (i.e., thumbs/forefingers touching beneath my sternum)....
