Re: Mr. Howl's Log

Welp, been pretty lax lately. Been having issues with illness and general lack of routine, but I'm trying to get back into the flow now. Here's the log since I last posted: 7/9/12 C25K W4D3 Brisk five-minute warmup walk, then 2 repetitions of the following: Jog 3 minutes Walk 90 seconds Jog 5 minute...

Nice one dude! I've been eyeing up level 3 and, I'll be honest. It scares me a little.

Re: Mr. Howl's Log

You wouldn't think this counting to 5 business would be so tough. I think most of us have had one of these screwed up counting episodes. The brain just can't do higher math when you're working so hard. No joke. I suppose it speaks more of lack of focus than anything else, but it's pretty humbling t...

Re: Mr. Howl's Log

23/8/12 L2 D2 11mins 48secs I mucked up my count for this one :/ I think it was 5 rounds, but it may have been only 4. I opted to call it quits either way because towards the end I developed a twinge in my left wrist that I wasn't particularly happy with. Pretty tiring too, I'm definitely feeling l...

Re: Stop the Spam

I'm just a newbie to this forum, but I imagine it's simply an issue of moderator cleanup. Is cheapo running this place by himself or are there others helping out?

Re: Love veggies, hate fruit except for apples.

I'm certainly not qualified to answer that question myself, but it saddens me to see a thread go unreplied. Everything I've read or heard about diet suggests that variation is key, and people bang on about different colours of fruits and such. On the flip side, I gather most of what you'd be missing...

Re: Rosencrantz1's log

I know it's on the back of a lot of past training, but I have to say your ascent through the levels was an inspiration to watch for someone just leaving level 1! Diamond push ups, sheesh. You still going?

Re: Mr. Howl's Log

I've been using MyFitnessPal as a calorie counter for the last couple of days. I've given it my metrics and told it I want to lose 1.5lbs per week. My current weight is fine in terms of BMI, but I need to burn some fat and I figure it'll be a while before I gain much mass due to hypertrophy, so I'll...

16/08/12 W2 D3 of C25K Brisk five-minute warmup walk. Then alternate 60 seconds of jogging and 90 seconds of walking for a total of 20 minutes. Good time for D2. If you keep at it, the pull-ups will come along. That is a great feeling to look forward to. Thanks :D Yeah, I'm super psyched for that d...

15/8/12
L1D2

6 and a half minutes of exercise this time, over 14 minutes total (including rests). Pull-ups were still assisted, but the first couple were the closest to the real thing that I think I've ever gotten.

Re: Mr. Howl's Log

Thanks for the encouragement, chaps. I've been a bit lax with my frequency of workouts, still building the habit. I went for 2 more runs in the last 3 days that I forgot to record, up to W2D3 of the C25K programme now. Diet is a good call, just worked out my approximate body fat percentage using the...
