One arm stronger than the other

Post by krp312 » Fri Sep 09, 2011 12:24 am

Hey all,

First post, hello everyone. If one arm is stronger than your other, should I try to strengthen the weaker one for pull-ups? I'm afraid that in the long run my weaker arm won't catch up and my stronger one will just get stronger.

Thanks,
k

hi, and welcome to SF krp312!

mate, i'm no expert, but i shouldn't try and strengthen the weaker arm for pull-ups. i am naturally right handed, so my right arm is much stronger than my left, but i haven't found that it has hampered me in the pull-up division.

I had the same problem, and my left arm is catching up nicely. I believe since pull ups are just harder for the weaker arm, this fixes itself naturally.
