How and when should one incorporate the Intermediate, Advanced and Tabata workouts?

Whenever you like! Anyone of them is a good way to mix things up for variety's sake. Also, because they're different and (at first) unfamiliar, they may push you beyond your comfort zone into a REALM OF EXTREEEM PERFORMANCE, which should help your progress through whatever level you're on.
