Shoulder injury...what do I do now?

Hi,

Looking for some advice. I was using the simplefit workouts with quite a bit of success but ran into an issue. My shoulder has locked and I can't raise my right arm more than 1/3 of the way up (from the side)...push-ups and pull-ups are out while I am waiting for a shoulder specialist appointment. Can someone help come up with something that I could do in the interim while waiting on my appointment. It has been a while now and I am watching any gains I had slowly go away.

Go and see your doctor before working out more. If you continue to train you could make it worse.

Thanks for your reply Kevin. I have been to see my doctor and am awaiting a specialist appointment. What I am looking for is thoughts about training that would not utilize shoulder movements...some kind of simplefit for the lower body???

The most important thing is to not increase the damage. We are not elite athletes, so exercise should never push past the point of pain or joint damage. After numerous shoulder and knee problems over the years, I have had to modify the simplefit program a bit to match my capacity. When it comes to lower body, the main thing that you would be missing in a lower-body only workout is variety. I expect that you will get bored quickly.
