door gym question

Before I order the door gym can I set it up at the bottom of the door to do body rows because I cant do pull-ups yet.Also how many bodyrows equals 1 pull up?Thanks very much.

Set it up at the top - drape a towel over it and hold both ends of the towel to do bodyrows. The "rule" is 3 body rows = 1 pullup.

Would I be laying on the ground or kind o f leaning back?I did a search on you tube but all the videos showed people doing them on low bars.I hope I dont sound stupid but could you give me a breakdown.Thank you very much.

Depending on your ability, leaning back is a decent start. After these become easy, decrease the angle (between you and the floor) by lengthening the towel, rope or rings you are using. Also, add a platform (chair, small table, etc.) to raise your feet (as another way to further decrease the angle.)

I tried bodyrows in a doorway, but I didn't have enough space on both sides of the door. I ended up doing bodyrows at a local park again and sticking to just pull-ups on the door gym. depends on your space.
