Anabolic Diet

Postby volleyball_man » Sat Feb 21, 2009 10:36 am

I am trying out the anabolic diet. The zone diet recommends that, once you can see your ab muscles, you should up the fat intake a bit. The anabolic diet takes this further. I am eating a ton of protein and fat and just a bit of carbs for 5 days and then I do a carb loaded day (or 2) then back to protein and fat. I'll let you know the outcomes.

Right now - I'm steady at 205 and about 10% BF. I'd like to up the weight about 10 - 15 and keep the BF the same.

Is that the diet by DiPasquale? I've never tried it but have known a few people who have and they've all seen good results. I'd be interested to hear how it works for you and also hear how easy it was to eat the proper kind of food.

So far - I'm missing the energy from the carbs. I'm told that my body will adjust. I'm not having any hunger pangs tho. I'll keep you informed.

I think DiPasquale is right.

What kind of results did you see? Did you gain any muscle on the Anabolic diet?

I can't be sure - maybe? I've lost back down to 209 with same waist I had at 205.
