Is there a list of what products are considered refined carbs? The next step for me is to work on my nutrition (alot). But the problem is I love carbs, I eat alot of sandwhiches, pastas, and potatoes with my meat. (its horrible) Also my favorite vegetable is corn which is also high in startch.

I dont think I will ever cut these all the way out, but is there ways I can cut back? Multi-grain or whole grain bread? noodles? How about taking a carb blocker? I'm assuming natural carbohydrates are still ok? I guess I havent found an article that explains this well enough for me, to understand.

Basically, any product that is made with refined sugars (cane sugar, corn syrup, high fructose syrup, etc.) and/or is made with milled cereal grains (flour for instance) is an unwelcome source of carbohydrates.

Pasta, pizza, muffins, bread, cake, fruit juice, soda, commercial cereals (Capt'n Crunch), etc. The list is to long to write.

Eat whole foods. As a rule of thumb, shop the interior perimeter of your grocery store where you will find whole, fresh foods. The processed and refined foods are generally found in the inner aisles. Substitute white potatoes for sweet potatoes or yams.

There is a diet plan called the "Warrior Diet" by Uri Hofmelker. He says to fast all day and eat what you want in a two hour window sometime in the evening. Google "Warrior Diet" to find out more of the details. In a nutshell it is a variation of IM.

Be sure to check out the nutrition section

Like Jack is saying if you get your carbs from whole fruit and non starchy vegetables you cannot go wrong. If you are actively trying to drop I would even skip the yams.
