Protein intake for women?

I'm finding all sorts of varying information concerning what is a healthy protein intake in a well balanced diet for women.

How many grams per lb of body weight?
What is recommended for a sedentary, active or bodybuilding lifestyle?

Look at the zone thats a good place to start they have a calculation based on lean body mass and activity level.
