It gets really easy after the first couple of weeks, also it seems to amplify the effects of caffeine :)

Much smaller list of foods today. Was hard to even come close to my normal calories. Couldnt resist the one beer though.

Sushi - bout 32 pieces
Seafood salad
Beer 16 oz

Not sure bout the caloric content here but I'm fairly sure its way high in carbs.

Finding it a bit harder to track food atm. Still trying to maintain 40/30/30. Unfortunately my 40 was fat yesterday. Didn't realize I took in that much. Major portion of that was nuts and sardines (Omega 3's).

So far doing really good on the IF. I'm friggin hungry though!! heh

I have yet to get to 2000 calories on this program. Don't think I will but I'll see.

40/30/30 with fat as %40 is not bad at all, you will be utilizing allot more fat with IF/low gl gi carb diet so will require more fat for energy. Allot of elite athletes on the crossfit site get up to 60% of there cal from fat.

Just make sure you are eating quality fats/carbs and have a good n3/n6 balance

Havent been tracking well the last few days. Too much work and standing call all week. Has been busy. I have been ravenous the last few days. Especially this weekend. Eating a lot of junk too. Going to try and get back on track this week.

Try not to mix diets, high fat and crappy carbs do not mix well as I am sure you know. If IF is not working for you try something else.

Actually I've never really attempted dieting of any type other than to eat as healthy as possible.

I've maintained the parameters pretty good so far. I've ate only within the time limit without any significant problems. Just need to maintain eating appropriately. Couple examples:

Ate french fries the other night.
Had some ice cream one night.

But Im still doing lean proteins, green leafys and keeping my other veggies up.

I really want to maintain the calorie counting and ratios so I can visibly see it. But the way some of the foods are cooked and my schedule I haven't been able to be too exact.

So all in all I guess I'm not doing too bad. Going to perservere here and give it a few months. If there is no progress at all or I can't adhere to the guidelines I'll relook at it. Don't think I can change those bad habits that quick.

I still feel the constant kind of hunger but it's a good feeling. Interestingly enough I've had chronic reflux (indigestion) for years and since I started this I've only had one episode and that was from too much coffee.

I think I've found my weakness/procrastination area. Haven't been keeping up with this. Made the attempt to stay within parameters but took in too many carbs. Hard to control yourself when your doing IF and they stick a basket of fresh hot bread in your face. Restaraunt eating is tough to measure your intake. Ate a crab chowder but I'm not sure nutrient content. Substituted a clam chowder for it.

Mixed vegetables
vinagrette salad. quite tasty- had chicken, mandarin oranges, walnuts, cranberries, strawberries, iceburg lettuce, spinach, lightly sprinkled with bleu cheese crumbles.
2 rolls (ouch)

OH yeah, pretty sure I was down about a 1000 calories.

I'm sittin at 6' 1" bout 200 lbs. Was just too full and worked 14 hours straight so I ended up stuffin the food all at once.

The fasting thing has actually dropped my hunger levels quite a bit. I have a jackload of energy, oddly enough, ever since last week. Going to try to get it back up there today.
