I hope to be posting on here a lot in the coming weeks\months\years.
I’m a 34 year old male and my height is 5’10 and I weigh 262lbs. My overall goal is to weight around 200lbs and my pants size down to a 34 or lower (currently at a 42). My height can stay the same LOL!
I used to be a gym rat but in the past 4 years have really packed on the pounds. It was due to minor depression and my thyroid stopped working. I’ve been out of the depression for a few years now but didn’t find out until last year that my thyroid was bad. So I figured that was the reason I couldn’t lose the weight or just didn’t have the energy to go to the gym after work. Well my thyroid has been fine now for at least 8 months (I take a pill every morning for it) but I still haven’t lost any weight. I just can’t get motivated to do so.
This site has intrigued me quite a bit. I know this routine will be hard as heck for me but I feel that it’s something that I can stick to for a long time.
I was referred to this site by a coworker who is on day 2 as of today. I plan on starting day 1 tonight. We plan on doing a friendly competition with each other to help keep each other on it and doing it as best we can.
As for my diet I’m doing a low to no bad carbs, plenty of protein, plenty of fiberous carbs, and a lot of the good fat too.
I plan on posting my results weekly along with some thoughts or feelings on the workouts. I think that if I have a journal of sorts online that too may help me stay motivated to get in and work out.
Thanks to everyone that’s posted on these boards so far too. I’ve been reading on here most of the day.
