My intro

Well, here I am. How did I get here? My husband, an Air Force officer stationed in Afghanistan (not his first time, nor his last I'm sure) has been into CrossFit since he got to A-stan. He is a marathon runner and always got bored being in the gym for long periods of time. He is making great progress with CrossFit. He told me to go to the website. I looked at it and was really scared. It is so hard core. So I emailed him and asked if he knew of something similar but more suitable for someone "soft" like me. Thus, SimpleFit. I wish I had the discipline that my husband has. When I say "I want to lose weight" He says "so do it." It's always that simple for him...aaaahhhh! Not so for me. I suck at dieting. I suck at exercising. I have a problem with my right knee. boo hoo, waa, waa, I know. When I first met my husband I was HOT. We lived on an island in the Pacific and I was always hiking, kayaking, etc. Now back in the states, I don't do much. But I want to be his hottie again. I just turned 45, and from the neck up I look like I'm 35. It's what's going on below the neck that is frightening! I'm 5'4 1/2 (hey, every half inch helps) and I weigh between 154-159 (goes up and down). So, I'm looking for inspiration and motivation from this site, as well as a routine I can stick with. Can you all help me? I guess I should go to "Goals" and post soon as I figure out what they are.

The most important thing is consistency and patience.

The nutrition program is hard but do it for 30 days exactly and that alone will drop weight really fast.

Be careful with your knee if squats hurt it let me know and we will find you a sub.

hey sunny,

welcome. you can do this, don't get intimidated or frustrated. it takes time to get back into shape, look at how long it took you to get out of shape :D

look into the zone diet (not a diet more of a way of living) i have found it the easiest plan out there and i am not one to stick to anything.

Kevin is a whiz at tailoring subs, so let him know if you need that

post your workouts for support

Hi Sunny!

I am finding it nice to be patient and measure my progress VERY slowly. I will not leave level one until I can do the pullups. Right now, 1 pull-up is a short-term goal.

One of the coolest things about the workouts IMHO is the tiny amount of time it takes to do them. This leaves me with NO excuses.
