Please help promote simplefit

Post by Admin » Mon Jun 25, 2007 1:39 pm

If you like simplefit invite some friends to try it with you!

Have any ideas on how to promote simplefit?

Thanks!

I do the same with my students!

The posts I've put on CF have gotten some interest. I've been pm'd a few times regarding my pullup progress and referred them to here...

yeah I think I've dropped the simplefit.org plug at least thrice... And randoms are joining the facebook group... people that have nothing to do with the site.

In the last week we seem to be getting 5-10 new members on the board a day! This is very exciting!

How about the main site logs?Is your paveviews going up steadily? And how do you keep the spam bots from swamping the forum?

Traffic
I get about 2,000 page views a day and around 500 unique visitors not sure if that is good or not, seems to be a little growth but mostly steady.

Spam
I modified the forum registration page to ask "is a chicken a fish or a bird" :) which seems to have stopped 100% of all spam bots. Hurray prior to that spam was taking about 20 minutes a day to deal with.

Can you point me to a HOWTO on how that's done? I've got a phpBB that is killing me with spam.

I've been telling as many people as I can, as far as I'm concerned Kevin is some sort of God. There appears to have been so much work gone in to this place for little tangible reward, and of course it's an effective method of getting fit that can be scaled down or up to anyone's level, that only takes 20 minutes.

Looking around, it seems I didn't give enough props to ucffool, so, PROPS UCFFOOL.

*blush* thanks. If it grows the community, and it is seamless, it was worth it. My way of paying back Kevin and a site that has got me doing things I've never done before.

I tell everyone I can about simplefit :D . I post my workout logs on my myspace page and I included a link to simplefit.org so my friends could check it out (lots of mom friends who don't have a lot of time but want to work out  ).
