L1/D2 from Wednesday, July 14th - 41, 49, 41, 39, 43 - For 3 min, 33 seconds.
Mary did the first round with real pullups, and then modified pullups by using the poles that stick out from the main bar for the rest of the sets. However, overall, her time was still improved. She is getting there.
Mary finished with her best time, although she is still doing modified pullups, either chinups or using the poles that stick out. She is getting stronger, especially on the pushups. More focus on pullups and she will have it.
I moved Mary up to Level two even though she has not passed D3 of L1 yet with true pullups. She has her squats and pushups down, so I think she can revisit Level 1 from time to time to see if she can pass.
Today, she completed the first 6 rounds with true pullups, the next 10 rounds with using the poles that stick out, and the last 12 rounds doing chinups. All of her pushups and squats looked good.
L2/D2: 63, 64, 58, 63, 62, for a total of 5 minutes 10 seconds.
Mary completed the first two sets with real pullups, and the last 3 using the poles that stick out. She is coming along well on the pullups. He squats and pushups are with good form.
Mary did great today. She completed 4 regulation pullups, and the rest were using the poles that stick out. She completed 16 straight pushups, and then 10 straight to completion. Her squats were done straight through.
Today Mary did few rounds, but concentrated on doing good form pullups. She completed the first 20 rounds with regulation pullups using shoulder width grip. The last 5 she did chinups. She is getting much stronger.
08-06-10 - L2/D3 - 5:05 - Mary almost did it, and with real pullups throughout. Her pullup strength came on this last two weeks out of nowhere. From this point, she should be able to complete all of her exercises with real pullups rather than modified.
