i might just go back on my "word" though and level up on neutral grips, given the "injury" in my left elbow preventing me from doing pull-ups.

I have to use neutral. If not I'd have to stop using my right arm all-together! As I'm right handed that really isn't an option
I haven't read anything that suggests that you're not allowed to level up based on neutral grips. If that is the case then I'm back to level 1 I guess.
If a senior member has any input it would be appreciated so I know if I have to start over too?

I'm going to stick on L1, there's definitely room for improvement on form.

although i admire your "there's definitely room for improvement on form", i'd say lvl up - your time definately allowes you to!
you can work on form on every lvl, so why hang around on lvl1? i'm starting lvl 2 on monday - join me!!!!!

Looking at the workout, L2 isn't a huge step up (especially as it's still 1 pullup on D1) - so I'll give it a go!

L2D1 - 28 reps (neutral grip)
Really quite please by this. The pullups felt easier than they did last week although the extra press-up was tougher than I thought it would be (you were right Ruli!)

L2D3 - 4:30.
While the time was under 5 mins I think my form needs a lot of work, especially on the pull-ups. I'm not convinced I'm doing the full ROM that I should be doing.
Next week's going to be tough, I'm at a wedding this weekend so lots of food and wine (and it's really rude to say no!)

nice workout don. although it doesn't look like it on paper, L2 is quite different from L1 or what. Immagine the jump from L2 to L3 and so forth!!!
and i'm glad to see you remember your manners - you simply cannot say no to food and wine at a wedding!!!

L2D1 - 25 rounds
It's 3 less than last week, but it felt so much better!
I read Ruli's comment about people chasing the clock on D3 and, while that's definitely true for me, I think the same applied a bit to D1. I was more interested in the number of rounds than the quality of each round.
I spent longer on the pull-ups, getting a greater range of motion and not rushing myself.

i think us noobs should just follow the advice of those who's been doing this for a while: concentrate on form, and the rest will take care of itself!!!

As I said, I've been doing runs on the days I'm not doing Simplefit.
I've got a nice 3.5mile loop that I do in the morning before heading off to work.
It's been great seeing my time gradually improve (even if it is way off where I'd like to be!).
Current time is 27:13 - I'm aiming for a sub 25min (to start with). At least a month away from that (but the SF running plan might help).

i also ejoy my runs, but it's winter in my part of the world right now and i don't enjoy my runs THAT much to venture out in the cold and dark!!!
as soon as spring arrives i'll give it a go again.
