Meet the new boss.
Same as the old boss.

True that. Now all I can think of is a rock opera about Joe the effing Plumber...

L4D2: Untimed, ran around 20 minutes.
Feet elevated pushups, subbed squat thrusts w/10# wts for squats.
Squat thrusts added a whole new layer of ugly to the workout, even at light weights. Shoulders are cooked.

Go faster on the thrusts!!!

Faster? Like, use the momentum from the squats to kick the weights up from the shoulders? These are kind of new to me...

That's it! Not one part should be more sore from this. It's a total body move.

Got it. Thanks. Like the sub a lot, but it's a beast.

Ugh, Fran. I used to do the BrandX-scaled WODs for Crossfit, probably go back to those again at some point. Now I'm just hoping to crack 5 minutes on L4D3.

L4D3 -- 6:04
Oh, snap! Thought I was gonna make it - big surprise when I checked chrono with two sets of 10 squats left at 5:30. The pullups were just brutal after 15.
Back to L1D1 for a rest week next week, then on with the L4 summit.

Ran 5/1 intervals x 4, for 23 minutes of running. 'Bout 11 minute/mile pace.
Running a 5K this weekend for the LA Cancer Challenge. Woefully unprepared. Ran 30:29 last year, was hoping to break 30 this year, but doesn't seem likely given my anemic training schedule. Oh well. It's all about, you know. Curing cancer, right?

Stomach flu! Wow, that sucked. Think I'll be taking a few days off, eating saltines and drinking ginger ale. Blech.

Wow, back at it, after only like 3 months. No excuses.
Started at Level 2, just for kicks. Tough.
L2D1: 27 rounds
Finished up with 18 extra pushups (TMFS's pushup challenge, day 18) and 30 or so crunches on the stability ball.

Dr. visit for checkup, 171 pounds, all seems good.
Walked fast 30 minutes with 22 pound baby strapped to me, periodic insane bouncing, which she finds eternally hilarious.
L2D2: around 5 minutes. Ran it :55, :58, :58, :59, :55.
Finished off with 21 pushups, and 15 each crunches/reverse crunches/bicycles per side.
