Thanks man. I love cardio, but I hate jogging, so it makes things complicated. For now, the days I do stick to cardio lol, I try mostly for flat ground sprints, uphill walks, and uphill mtnbike rides. Im sticking with that for awhile.

Re -bodyfat calc. Are you using your pants size or measuring at the navel with your belly relaxed? I weigh what you do, I'm 6'4 and have a 34 waist (pants) and am about 10% bodyfat or so.

L5D3 was a shocker today.

21 pull ups: 5,5,5,5,3 (lost grip on 4th), 3. (Very pleased with form and strength improvements!)

51 Push Ups (reg, no rings) 26, 25 (again, very pleased)

51 Squats 30, 16 (woo)

Total time was 8:11. I was only timing it to make sure I wasnt taking 15 minutes when i allowed myself plenty of rest in between the pull up sets. was shocked when i had all the pulls done just after the 3 min mark. i blame the massive improvement on my sticking with this week of practice, and heavily on the rings as well. my upper ascent of the pull ups feels nice, fluid, and strong. Sticking with the ring training and L5 next week as well. Fairly confident I'll be below the 5 min mark on L5D3 next week.

You'll be there in no time, Ruli, trust me. I just wish I'd stayed motivated and consistent during previous harsh times. I could have been crossfitting by now! Or at least brand x scaling.

Austin - start cherry picking a CF WOD with BrandX now and then. If you have questions hit me up.

Are you on FB yet?

VBM, FB? Dont think i know that one. And I was actually just thinking today of picking some Brandx CF wods. I hate the whole weekend going by relaxing and eating like shit. There's nothing here to do if you try to be active. I mean, there's dirtbike trails for miles, but I only have a mtnbike and am the only one i know of with one lol. What I've been meaning to try to do on saturdays or sundays was take the us navy pt test (1.5 mile run, 2 min max push ups, 2 min max sit ups, and spec ops screening uses a pull up test and swim as well), or Ive been wanting to try the usmc's pft which is the same except theres no swim, its a 3 mile run, and all the totals and times equate to a point system out of 300 pts.

I do have rings, but I can barely do 10 ring dips. Im sufficient at ring push ups, Im working on my ring skills. Thinking of buying that kettlestack thing in a couple weeks. Do you recommend any Brandx CF wods in particular VBM?

FB = facebook

Ring dips! HA! I have shoulder issues that prohibit me form doing many chair dips without pain.

Heck - just do a few BrandX's scaled to the lowest at first and see how you do.

Whoa! So the puppy murph went....well it went. One thing Ive never claimed to be is runner. Couldnt finish the first 1/2 mile run without stopping to walk for a sec. Pull ups went as expected, sets of 5 for the first 25 pullups, had to kip the rest in smaller sets. Push ups were pretty much easy, sets 25, 25, 20. Squats were a bit rough. sets of 30 at a time. Last 1/2 mile run was WEEEEEEEAAAAAAK. Couldnt finish the first 1/4 mile lap without walking for a bit. Walked almost half of the 2nd 1/4 mile lap. Time was about 30:10. This was probably minus about2-3 minutes because I had to stow my stopwatch (laptop) in my truck about 100 yards away from the track, then that was like 200 yards further from the jungle gym, ugh! I'd be lying if i tried to tell you that im not just a little ashamed.

The easier the WODs look at first glance, the tougher they actually are! Don't be ashamed, but proud. You've completed Murph!
