Hello everyone,

I am 22 years old male about 6'2 and 187 pounds. I have been doing weightlifting for about 3 years. I was really skinny at the start. ( couldnt do one single pullup and 5 consecutive pushups ). Starting from 167 pounds I have gained about 30 pounds and hit 200 pounds this year.

Things happened, and I stopped going to gym this April. Well I realized that my body was going backwards, right where it started. So i decided to stop that. I had 4 packs Just a month ago :(

Since I can not afford the gym right now i needed a workout program that would keep me fit and that wouldn't consume my time and money.

Yesterday I found this site, and decided to give a shot.

This morning I started with L1D1 and did pullups on a goalpost of a football field.

Started with warmups on basketball court, some layups, shoots, streching etc.
L1D1 = 36 repeats ( took 10-15 secs rests after 20th repeat)

My goal is to reach L8D3 at the end of this summer. Well, that's it for today.

Welcome - awesome start. You might skip up a level or two. Test a d3 for a level you think you can complete it in under 5.

I was going to say the same.
There's no reason to start at an SF level well below your own level of fitness.

Time to log things..

This saturday I went to the field to test L4. After I started I realized that I was doing pullups so slow so I did L2D3 instead. time was 4:30

So today I did L3D1 for 23 rounds. Pullups were really tough.

I guess I will be doing L3 for 1 or 2 weeks before jumping to L4.

Well finally I got a job and moved to another town so I had to stop simplefit for a little while.

During this period I tried to increase my pull up count. I tried pyramidal sets and increased my PR of pullups from 5 to 9. Also I have been trying to do the handstand and I almost have it.

I did L3D3 tonight with a result of 04:57.

Pullups: 9-3-2-2
Pushups:20-7-6
Squat:33

I will take couple of days to rest and start with L4.

Good job! If you don't have a stopwatch/timer, you should be able to find one at your local Wal-Mart/K-Mart/Target. The one I've been using was $1, and I bought super cheap AAA batteries. Since the timer is a slow-drain device, my investment is worth it. I've been using the same AAA battery since I started SF!

I use a timex ironman watch, the one with the interval timer. They're kind of pricey but you can sometimes find them on sale. They're worth the investment though if you plan on sticking with simplefit and eventually upgrading to crossfit. You have a count down timer, regular timer, and interval timer that lets you time 20 sec./10se. intervals for tabata workouts, and it's portable.

I was thinking of getting one of these someday http://www.gymboss.com/.
