howzit peoples!!!
yes, yes, i'm still around, keeping tabs on al yours progresses by frequently reading your logs. looks good i must say.
well, it looks like the tendonitis is in it's final stages of healing. i should be fit to start training again in about two weeks time. i've just had a look at my excell log and noticed that the last training i did was the 10th august. shit, it will be two months without SF. no wonder i'm so grumpy!!!
does anyone have any tips / ideas as to how i should approach my return. i'm helluva scared that on my first wod i will agrivate my tendons again. surely there must be a way to exercise in such a manner as to prevent a recurrence of the injury.
any advice would be appreciated.

my SF progress has been a stop start affair so far. i started doing SF on the 1st june 09 and was plagued by injuries up and until the 10th august when i was diagnosed with tendinitis in the elbow.
an agonizing three months later i eventually started exercising today again!!!
i don't think my elbow is 100% healed yet, but i can't wait any longer. besides, it only hurt when i did pull-ups and i felt a little pain doing neutrals. everything was fine when i did chin-ups, so i'll guess i'll do chin-ups for as long as possible.
so, started with D1L1 again and managed 21 rounds. taking it slow initially, so as not to aggravate the injury.

thanx saling, i'll definitely take it slow and easy.
i'd actually forgotten how sore and stiff your body is after a good workout the previous day!!!! it's a "nice" feeling though.
one area of concern is my elbow though. although i had no pain or discomfort during my routine yesterday, my elbow is sore today - and a different sore from the rest of my muscles.
will wait and see what happens with D2 tomorrrow.

it most definitely would!!!!
did L1D2 on wednesday - untimed.
although i could still feel some pain from stiff muscles as a result of D1, it wasn't as bad as what i'd thought it would be.
yesterday's D3 went like this:
chin-ups: 2,2,1,1,1,1,1,1
push-ups: 15,6
squats: 21
time: 4:20
although below 5 min's, i'll stay on L1 for another week or two. my form in chin-ups weren't great. in fact, i couldn't get my chin chin above the bar on the last 4 reps, which indicates a lack of strength. hopefully, in time, this will be addressed.
