Nice job moving up. I agree that moving from 1-->2 pull-ups makes a very big difference. For me, at least, it is hard to avoid a little jump on the first pull-up. The second is the honest one.

Friday, Feb 1
L3D3
Pull-ups: 5/3/2/2/1/1/1/1 (1=chins, the rest neutral grip)
Push-ups: 20/13
Squats: 33
Time: 5:29

I didn't think I'll do D3 in under 5 minutes, but I'm nevertheless impressed with the time that I posted. I am also chuffed about the 5 pull-ups I managed in my first set. To me, the more pull-ups I can do in my first set on D3, is an indication of my progress, despite the fact that I did not come in under 5 minutes.

This week is a rest week for me - no SF. I'm doing some jogging every morning though to work a bit on my cardio.

Nice job, Ruli. You'll get there. As usual, now it's about consolidating those pull-ups. It's hard, but that's where the glory is.

I just cannot seem to get past 17 rounds on D1 - on any level!

I never achieve high levels of rounds on day 1 either. I used to get intimidated by others cranking out 30 or 40 rounds, but then I figured I am doing what I can do. You are moving up quite fast thru levels so you are doing something right since you are mastering day 3 requirements. I am on my third week of Level 2 and probably will be there another week. As long as I see improvements in my times and muscular development I am happy. Keep the faith.

Thank you for your comments Reed, much appreciated.

I am glad to see there's someone else thinking along the same lines as me, cause I also adopt the same approach as you and it's working for me.

Until now I thought, and it surely felt like it, that D2 was only a "filler" between D1 and D3 - something to keep you busy with, something for you to do. L4 however changed that perspective!

I had a very good, if not strenuous, workout this morning. The last round was particularly challenging. I have a feeling that I might be on L4 for a while...

We're here on L4 together. I think it a pretty respectable place to be.

D2 is my favorite. I particularly focus on trying to maximize the effectiveness of the rest periods.

Pull-ups: 7/4/2/1/1/1/1/1/1/1
Push-ups: 21/10/10
Squats: 41
Time: 6:36

Although my time is marginally better than last week, I'm not too happy with the workout as my form were not up to standard.

Next week is a rest week for me, during which I will revert to L1.
