Right on Dave!!

Good luck with level 1 -- try and do all pull-ups without subs!

It was rest week, and I repeated level 1:

L1D1 - 32
Full chinups for the first 6 rounds. The rest were sets of negatives

L1D2 - 3:32
All full chinups

L1D3 - 3:09
3 full chinups. The rest were negative.

Back to level 3 in a couple of days.

L3D1 tonight - 20 reps.

The first 5 attempts were full chinups. Most of the remainder were sets of 3 negatives, but I did manage to fit in a few additional full chinups.

L3D3 in 5:42. A little worse than last time, but I wasn't as winded. First four were full chinups, the rest were sets of negatives.

L1D1 last night; 20 rounds.

The first 5 chinups were full, and had a couple of others in later rounds. The rest were sets of negatives. I felt weaker with the chinups tonight for some reason. My diet has not been good the last few days.

At the same time, I felt I had a little more control over my negatives. Instead of dropping towards the end of the motion, I'm getting a little better control. My stamina is improving, I think. I probably could have pushed myself tonight and worked in an additional round or two, but I started off pacing myself and never got more aggressive.

L3D3 on 2/20 in 5:21.

First four chinups were full, the rest were sets of negatives. I was moving along at a pretty good pace, breathing hard, and keeping good form. Not sure I could go much faster than I did. In order to level up, I would have to do at least 2 additional full pullups in the mix to break the 5 minute mark.

L3D2 last night in 4:52. I had to cheat and do a set of 3-negatives on the very last chinup.

L1D1 tonight; 37 rounds. I was able to do the first 30 with full chinups and no substitutions. This was a good milestone.

I did L1D2 the other night w/ full chinups on every set. Today I did L1D3 in 3:06, which is a personal best for that level. I could only do 4 chinups in a row, which is disappointing considering the breakthrough I had on Day 1. Back to Level 3 next workout.

Nice work, Dave!

That's ok if you can't do a lot of chinups in a row without resting -- at least you aren't substituting anymore! Keep it up! Amazing progress!
