I've known cheapo for a long time an finally decided to jump in this. I said many times in the past I would and now I am actually going through with it. I've never done any sort of gym exercise or fitness plan of any kind before.

I'm 27, 6'2 ~150lb, generally speaking, a vegetarian at that. My goal is to improve my diet even more, put on a few lbs and increase my strength and fitness levels. I've always been pretty active aside from the last year where I didn't play soccer last summer, didn't XC ski over the winter and feel mostly like a blog these days. Day 1 proved it.

L1 D1 - 12 reps.
Seems pretty low to me. I took probably more rest than needed between exercises and I got interrupted twice. I wanted to ease into it. I started off with dead lift pull ups and ended up doing the remaining 9 from a standing start and holding at the top for a second.

I honestly thought I'd do better than this, it's motivation to try harder.

L1 D2: 4:00

Starting to feel the squats in my hips.

edit: I know it's supposed to be for time, but I hold my positions a bit, br fractions of a second, to make sure I keep form and to get more out of them.

Pull-ups then pushups drained me, squats – not so much.

with that time on D3 you might consider skipping L2 and progress straight to L3!

Maybe, I like working up through it, hoping it will mean I can move at a steadier pace instead of leapfrogging and then stalling. Who knows though.

skipped last week due to a wonderful cold and traveling for 2 days for work. Back on L2 this week.

L2 D1: 23 rounds

Big jump for me from L1 D1. Pushups were my crux this week. I also realized I was doing chin ups last week so this week I went over to pull ups. I ended up doing 5 chin ups (5,8, 9, 17 and 19) to mix it up and give myself a bit of a break. Of the 18 pull ups though only 3 weren't dead lift.

Soccer season starts this week too, so my legs will be well exercised by the end of the summer.

I decided to stop over soccer season, which was probably a dumb idea, then I ended up with a small number of injuries (knee, deep tissue calf bruising, intercostal bruising) so I didn't get back to this right away.

I started up last week, back at L1. I'm going to do L2D2 tonight. Squats have been my achilles this time around.

last weeks results:
L1D1 - 26 reps
L1D2 - 4:20
L1D3 - 2:40

L2D1 - 30 reps

Thanks. I did horribly last night. ~6:00. I forgot to set the timer on my first round so i tacked on 45 seconds.

I have a feeling I am going to be seeing L3 for a few weeks after L2.

L2D3 -2:20

Felt tired after each stage. I went back and did 5 reps of each after – trying to break down the mental wall I hit at the end of the chin ups and push ups.

Starting to get more tiring doing the pullups than anything else.

L3D2 - 5:25 aprox. stopped to move the kid off me once and another to move the computer (stopwatch) away from her.

Missed Doing D3 on Friday, we went away for the long weekend. So I did it tonight.

L3D3 - 3:30
I found it hard to knock out large sets of pull ups and pushups. Breezed through the squats though. I almost feel like I should stick to L3 just to build endurance, but I'll move on and see how L4 treats me.

Took my rest week last week, didn't really do much to keep up with exercises. Bad move on my part, I was mentally burnt out last week.

Anyhow, today L4D1: 21 rounds

Fewer than I wanted, but I was getting beat all around today. My left wrist has been a bit sore lately and the pushups today aggravated it; however I don't think I would have squeezed out more rounds had it not been bothering me. I also took 2 water breaks.

I take 4 - 6 sips of water on Day 1. It helps!
