using bodyweight rows and countertop pushups:
L1D1: 18 in 20 minutes.

after a brief sitting rest I feel energized and healthy!

L1D2: 5:3
using a perfect pullup bar hanging in the "down" position to do body weight rows and the same bar for pushups.

oh man, level 2, day 1 kinda kicked my butt. I had to quit at about 13 minutes in, at 12 rounds. don't know if it was the heat or trying too hard to rush back and forth from under the bar (it's about hip height on my very short frame), or an alergen teasing at my asthma but I could barely breathe. I'll go for a slow walk later and then re-attempt L2D1 tomorrow. :?

well, I knew I was all lower body strength. I started the "200 squats" program today, cause I felt like the squats weren't doing much for me on this program. I did 47 squats in a row in my exhaustion test, so I'll be starting at level 3 over there on days when I'm not doing simplefit.

L2D1 kicked my behind again. made it to 14 rounds in 15 minutes. I'm gonna move on to L2D2 and then come back to L2D1.

of course, I had to google the 200 squats program - pretty intense...I feel as though I'm breezing through the squats on L1, but I'm going to hang there for awhile because I'm nowhere near doing an unassisted pullup...

I'm not giving up here by a long shot! I'm just making squats my alternate-day workout when I'm not doing simplefit. I'm loving having a workout to do each evening. (which is incredible given that I have ALWAYS hated exercise. but this stuff is short and sweet enough that I can just push through and be done with it!)

gotcha - I can see where that would definitely add some extra work for the legs - I may have to see about working it in...

took the long weekend off- bad idea.

got through 18 rounds of level2 day 1 in 12 minutes using 2 bodyweight rows as 1 pullup. then my arms gave out. on round 19 I couldn't get my chin to the bar. finished the 20 minutes with 10 more rounds of pushups and squats.

not sure where to go from this... :?

how are you doing your body rows? I use a step stool with my pullup bar because I'm so short (5' 2") and don't really have anything sturdy enough as in tables.

Anyway - I'm able to adjust the amount of my weight that I pull by where I place the step stool - not sure if that makes any sense...if I move it farther away from the bar, it's harder; and vice versa.

Are you still doing countertop pushups? Progressing to knee pushups will help build upper body strength...

The other option I'm considering is an elastic band to help support my weight.

doh! Just realized how you were doing body rows....
