With a 40 for day 1 and a sub 2min day 3 I'd say you pretty well own level 1. I'm no expert but chances are you are probably in good enough shape to be at Level 3 or 4? If I were you I'd try D3 of level 3 on an off day to see where your time is there and use that as a judge. I think you could get a sub 5 min L3D3 if you break the pull-ups into manageable sets. You should certainly be at Level two, but I suspect even higher than that based on the numbers you're posting. Give it a shot, it can't hurt to find out, and you can still stay at a comfortable level even if you do make it in sub 5min.

Thanks guys for your comments !
Ruli: hmm, maybe for D2, but I can tell you that L1D1 really kicked my butt  And I can still work on my L1D3.
Anubis: yeah I could do that just to find out.
Anyway, I'll see how this develops.

Thanks Ruli !
20JUL2009-L1D3:1min26s ( PB )
Pullups : 3 pullups PAUSE 3 chinups PAUSE 2 mixed pullups ( right hand facing down) PAUSE 1 mixed pullup ( left hand facing down) PAUSE 1 mixed pullup ( left hand facing down)
Pushups : in one go
Squats : in one go
Last time I burnt myself by doing six pullups in a row, this time the pauses helped with overall time.

That's a fast time! Nice work Norman.
Sounds to me like you don't really need to do L2, could go straight to L3.

that was very difficult. Pulse at the end : 180 ... (cause I sprinted for the last 2 rounds).
Bear in mind that for pullups, I do :
[ 1 pullup THEN 1 mixed (one side) pullup THEN 1 mixed (other side) pullup THEN 1 chinup ]
... and I cycle these exercises until the end.
Taking that into account, the limiting exercise today were pushups.
Hmm, I just realised that's what I did for L1D1 also 8)

norman, you should realy move to a higher level!!!
Posted: Fri Jul 24, 2009 4:24 am
Well, I'll see what L2D2 and L2D3 are like.
By the way, [ 5 * L1D3 ] is roughly equal to L8D3, by this (rather far-fetched) math, you'd have to be under 1 min for L1D3

real pullups for D2 ... for now ...
Posted: Mon Jul 27, 2009 9:16 am
...tough one :!:
pullups : 4 pullups, 3 chinups, 3 right side mixed pullups, 2 left side mixed pullups, 1 left side mixed pullup
pushups and squats : no pause (woohoo)
I know I can improve this, so I'll stay one more week at this level.
