Thank you Iron Feather. Most of that progress is probably due to the n00b gains that I hear about everywhere. I'll take those gains though. :)

L2D1: 21 rounds.

The additional pushup and squat make a significant difference to the difficulty of the workout. I blew through the first 5 rounds (did them in about 2 1/2 minutes) then slowed down considerably after that. My goal as to get 20 but when I got to 20 i still had about 1:15 left so I went for one more. Only started cheating on my pullups at about round 13.

L2D2: 1:26, 1:35, 1:35, 1:37, 1:36 -> 7:49

The extra reps made a huge difference but I also resolved to not rush through day 2 workouts but focus on form instead. I started to feel the squats at round 3 and started cheating on the pullups on the 3rd rep of round 3. I was pretty beat after the workout but caught my breath after about 2 minutes.

L2D3: 7:57 + 0:30 penalty = 8:27

Pullups: 5, 3, 2, 1, 1, 1
Pushups: 14, 5, 3, 1 + 3
Squats: 23 + 3

I had to drop to the ground between every pullup after the first three. So the pullup sets may not be sets in the traditional sense. Considering that I used to have to drop to the ground after every pullup anyway I am ok with this progress. I will try to push to add at least one more consecutive pullup every 1 to 2 weeks.

The added 3 pullups where a killer. Took me a little over a minute to complete those last three. After the work out I didn't feel that I did so well but looking back at my workout log my time today is better than my first 2 L1D3s so gotta be happy about that.

Edit: I just realized that I only did sets of 23 for pushups and squats. I just did 3 more of them so I guess I should add a penalty of about 30 seconds to my time. Still better than my first two L1D3s though. :)

L2D1: 24 rounds (PR +3)

I set a goal to get to 24 by doing 6 every 5 minutes. This is the steadiest pace I have kept since starting simplefit. 6 every 5 minutes was easy enough the first 10 minutes it got a lot harder after that. Significant endurance increase on my pullups. I only needed to cheat at about round 19 and even then not as much as I had to in the past. This workout definitely kicked my butt, I completed it about 15 minutes ago and I am still a little winded. Time to take a nap. :)

L2D2: 1:13, 1:18, 1:16, 1:15, 1:17 -> 6:19

I focused on good form and was not worried about the time at all. Set a goal of doing 3 consecutive pullups. I ended up doing 4 sets of 3 consecutive pullups (on the last set I did 2 + 1). Out of curiosity, I did a 30 second plank afterward because it looked easy in all of the demos I have seen. It wasn't. 30 seconds was at the edge of what I could do.

Overall happy with my continuing progress. I have settled on the following strategy for each day: day 1 - balance between form and speed, day 2 - focus on form, speed has next to zero significance and day 3 speed.

L2D3: 6:35 (PR -1:52)

Pullups: 3, 3, 2, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1
Pushups: 15, 11
Squats: 26

40 seconds plank afterwards

Tried to do 4 pullups in a row but it felt like something mental was blocking me from doing it. Will try again next week.

L2D1: 27 rounds (PR +3)

Followed the workout with some PST work then 50 seconds plank.

I wasn't in the correct mindset to workout because I was expecting to be in a long flight today but in my mind there was no question that I was going to do it. I guess that's the benefit of having a set schedule and sticking to it.

I was going for 30 but ran out of gas after 10 minutes (I was at 15 then). Funny thing is, I thought I was at 24 at about 19 minutes so I pushed to do one more so that I could at least up my PR by one. I thought I had done 25 at this point. While typing this up I went back to the text file where I note how many I had done so I don't have to keep track during my workout, I saw that I had actually done 27! :D

L2D2: 1:14, 1:18, 1:18, 1:18, 1:13 - 6:21

PST work and 52 seconds plank after.

Almost no cheating on the pullups (slight push from my feet for the first of 3 on rounds 4 and 5). Concentrated on proper form and didn't really care that much about the time.

L2D3: 4:00 (PR -2:35)
19 seconds better than my L1D3 PR!

Pullups: 6, 2, 2, 1, 1, 1
Pushups: 16, 10
Squats: 26
Some PST work and 50 second plank after.

Personal best of 6 consecutive pullups! I was going for 4 but when I got to 4 I felt that I could do more so I went for it. Progress seems pretty linear so far and I'm looking forward to L3. While I feel strong and more capable of doing these workouts, my body is giving me some very small clues that a take it easy week is in order. So L1 next week then L3 the week after hopefully stronger than ever.

I've been contemplating whether simplefit is enough for my fitness goals. What I have seen so far around these parts are more of overweight to fit progressions. I am skinny fat and looking to put on some (but not body builder type) mass. Logic tells me that I should keep going for a few more months at least as it has been working for me and I have had no problems sticking with it so far.

Take it easy week; L1D1: 31 rounds (PR +8 L1 / +4 overall)

I got though the first 10 sets in less than 5 minutes and was thinking maybe I'd go for 40. It was not to be. I slowed down considerably after that. I probably wasn't at my strongest today after a 23 hour trip across the pacific, two hours sleep and a bit of jet lag. After the first 15 I switched to chinups as I felt I couldn't do any more pullups. Reps were: 10 pulls, rest, 5 pulls, rest, 5 chins, rest, 5 chins, rest, 1 pull, 2 chins, rest, 3 chins.

First day I used a chinup bar instead of doing door pullups.

PST work then 50 second plank after.

L1D2: 50, 50, 50, 52, 46: 2:48

PST work and 50 second plank after.

Better than my previous best time by over a minute and a half but time is not really important to me here (being a take it easy week and D2 being a strength and form day for me). Workout felt easy but being an easy week I did not opt to do any extra work after. No cheating on the pullups and used pushup bars.

L1D3: 1:50 (PR -3:29)

Pullups: 5, 2, 3
Pushups: 16, 5
Squats: 21

None to failure and very little rest in between.

5 chins, Some PST work and 50 second plank after.

Not strict dead hang on the all the pullups (strict on the last 3 though) but hey it's a take it easy week. :)

L3D1: 15 sets

3, 2, 3, 1, 1 - Pullup sets
2, 1, 1, 1 - Chinup sets

30 second plank

First time at L3 after a light week. I was going for 18 but I had a boil on my hip and didn't feel strong today. I could probably do better, we'll see in the coming weeks.
