Here we go! 6'2" 330. Have done lots of powerlifting, been trying to get in shape for the past few years. So I started today.
D1L1 (taking it easy as prescribed) Used Gravitron with full assistance (180lbs) , pushups and squats as RXed. 16 rounds.
this is with all my old weightlifting buddies talking to me and giving me strange looks.
Looking forward to Day 2.

Surprised myself today. Reduced assistance (made it harder) by 10 pounds on Gravitron, cranked out all pushups per set w/o stopping and the squats were easy in 4:40. Felt a little queasy afterwards.

OK: I am back. I turned my son (runamile21) onto this site and he has motivated me to try again. Yesterday I did L1D1 in our back yard. We have an old sturdy swingset with rings on a chain. I put a shovel through the rings and did body rows. I did 16 sets and could have done more but had a little trial and error with the rings and shovel. It worked well though. Today I did 5x5 squats (135, 155, 185, 205, 215, 225), push
press (45, 55, 65, 75, 85), could have done heavier but sore from L1D1,
DL (135, 155, 185) (see above excuse). Anyway, I plan on doing L1D2
tomorrow and then taking Thursday off. L1D3 on Friday and 5x5 again on Saturday. After my body adjust to these workouts and dietary changes which I am trying to make I will begin interval cardio work. I am determined and with my son doing it I think I will stick with it.
Help me out. Too ambitious? Not enough?

Easy does it do whatever you are comfortable with and can stick to.

Thanks: I should have mentioned that the 5x5 weightlifting is something I have been doing a while, so actually I am cutting back a day on that.
Just completed L1D2 in 4:54. This first week I am doing 1 for 1 body rows to pullups. Felt good today.

charged through the 1 for 1 body rows, all 10 reps non stop, full extension; broke pushups into 6 (rest 15 seconds) 5 (rest 15 seconds) 5
(much needed 30 second rest) 5
Squats 21 straight.
3 min 55 sec.
felt gassed for about 30 minutes afterwards, feel great now.

Did 5x5 weights again
5 minute warmup on Concept 2 rower
6x2 pull ups on Gravitron (full assistance) neutral grip, chin up, pull up
push press 45,55,65,85,95 (more than Tuesday)
DL same as squats; I couldn't finish DL's on Tuesday
Also, lightning hit my gyms AC, very hot in gym in South MS (about 100 degrees today)

Progress, I think
Week 2 L1D1
Did 2for1 body rows today (only 1for1 last week) and still completed one more round. Pushups and squats as RXed.
Muscles felt good. It is the cardio aspect of this day that gets me
