L6D3 - 6:27

I managed to shave about a minute from the push-ups. They are still the major time sink though. I was able to do all the squats in one set, rather than the usual two.. which is also nice to see. Pull-ups were a bit faster too, although I'm mixing them in with curl-ups here still.

Mixing it up isn't a bad thing.. I use an underhand grip for every 5th (D1) or the 3rd (D2) round, to work my biceps and such a bit and give my outer arm a slight break.

You're right, that's why I do it too. I knew it would work certain muscles a bit more than in other grips, just not which ones specifically. :)

I just feel like I'm cheating a bit because they're easy.

Mind you, the difference in difficulty between the various grips has narrowed SIGNIFICANTLY since I started this program. Just goes to show you my body is balancing the muscle groups a bit. :D

L6D1 - 22 reps

I really had to push myself to see an improvement this week. Evidence is my sweaty red body here: http://www.simplefit.org/phpbb/viewtopi ... 1&start=15

It's hard for me to see improvement day-to-day.. but I look back at my previous pictures and think "did I really look like that?". I can't imagine what I looked like before I even started simplefit (the first one is me already a few weeks in).

I'll probably go through the alternate exercises after this week if I don't beat level 6. Just to mix things up again.

I also need to stay focused on my IF diet. I'm seeing some really good fat loss because of it. I've been slipping on my times a bit. Social pressure is tough.

Good work, isn't that last round just like walking on air?

L6D2 - 4:53

A bit slower this week because I knew I could do it in 5 minutes. I focused more on correct form. I do feel like I've hit a bit of a rut though. Going to the alternate exercises for a while should help I think.

Hey, you've been at it for more than four months with a rather basic choice of exercises. I think mixing it up a bit would be a good thing!

True... although I have put in the alternate exercises in the past.

L6D3 - 6:08

Progress.. but not at the rate I want. I'm going to order an x2vest in the next couple days, and I will go to the alternate workouts.

When I come back to this.. I will beat it.

L6D4 - 9:57

I was able to get full range of motion on my hand stand push-ups, for the first 2-3 reps of every set! The first one almost felt effortless, I was very surprised. It is now very much an "all or nothing" sort of thing; Once you get moving the friction against the wall decreases and it's smooth sailing.

I wasn't able to do full ROM for all 6 reps though, but I'm sure that will come with time.

I ordered the extension bar to my door gym, so that I can get a wider grip with my pull-ups.

I also ordered the paleo diet book, which I will be implementing as best as I can now.
