Whoa, level two isn't easy any more :)

L5, W1, D2: Times of 1:39, 1:44, 1:43, 1:49, 1:45 for a total of 8:40. I definitely took a few more than 3 minutes between a couple of the sets since I was running around doing laundry. Whoops. Push ups and squats are now harder than pull ups for D2 now, a weird change.

L5, W1, D3 - Got 9:54 for my first shot at L5. Pretty miserable, but it's actually a faster time than my first go at L4 was (10:12 i think). The good news is that I was able to get out good progressions without falling into single reps at the end of anything. Pullups were 7/5/4/3/2/2/3 and Pushups were 15/10/9/10/7. Squats I broke up into 32 and 19, mainly because my shoulders were burning from holding my arms up so long.

Definitely a long stay on L5 to look forward to...

Great move up, Maddog!

I, too found L5D2 to be the shift where suddenly push-ups were as hard as pull-ups. Squats were still OK, except for the feeling that there wasn't any oxygen left in the room. My first L5D3 was up at 11:10.

Thanks!

Week 2, L5D1 - Squeezed out 20 rounds (+2). The last couple rounds were pretty challenging and I found myself struggling to keep good form on the pull-ups and push-ups (I think I did succeeded, though). The weird thing about D1 is that the first 8 rounds or so are like torture, but I seem to hit a groove after that and my pace gets more consistent until exhaustion kicks in at the very end.

Week 2, L5,D2 - Times were 1:37, 1:38, 1:40, 1:39, 1:52 for a total of 8:26 (-14 sec). On the last two rounds, I had to pause twice during the push-ups to prevent my form from going to absolute shit. Looks like day two is going to be hard for the next few weeks...

Week 2, L5, D3 - 9:53 (-1). I'd really hoped for a better improvement this week, but for some reason pull-ups went poorly today. Sets were 7/5/4/3/3/3/2/1 (i accidentally did extra) for pull-ups, 18/10/9/9/5 for push-ups, and 51 straight through for squats. Push-ups did feel stronger this week, though. I'm gonna do better next week...and try to count better on my pull-ups, hehe.

Hard pull-up day for me too. Back on it next week.

When I get exhausted my counting and addition falls apart too. I have to keep it written down to stay on track.

Week 3, L5,D1 - 20 rounds again (+0). I was pretty unpsyched at the start (late night working) and actually expected to get a lower number. While it's no numerical improvement over last week, I was definitely performing the last few rounds with better form than before.

Week 3, L5, D2 - Times were 1:30, 1:26, 1:28, 1:32, 1:33 for a total time of 7:29 (-0:57). Push-ups are still hard near the end, but I guess I'm doing everything a little faster, considering my time improvements. Pull-ups are no issue, I just have to remind myself to go down to deadhang each rep to keep a full range of motion.

Week 3, L5, D3 - This weeks time was around 9:15 or 9:20, I accidentally reset the timer and I can't recall the exact figure so I'll just call it 9:20, which is still -:035. Pull-ups I planned in advance this time so I wouldn't screw up and do extra, like last week: 7/5/4/3/3/2/2. Push-ups were hard this week, and I forgot to write down the progressions on those. Squats were also harder than usual this week. I'm still happy just to see some improvement this week.

Thanks dudes!

Week 4, L5, D1 - This week's result is pretty embarrassing - 12 rounds (-8). I almost skipped simplefit today because I am getting all my wisdom teeth removed in a couple hours and I was pretty unmotivated when I got up today as a result. I made a deal with myself where I would get to rest and go slow as much as I liked, as long as I completed the entire 20 min. The rest of the week will likely have to be a rest week, since the dentist warned me that exercise will make the bleeding worse...and I'll be lazing about on vicodin. Bummer, but since I'm at home, hopefully I can stuff myself with (mushy but delicious) home cooking and gain a pound or two before I return to school in a week.

Edit: forgot to mention that I'm stuck with door pull-ups for the week. ouch.

Week 4, L5, D2. Another bad day...but this time I have a better excuse. I spaced out D2 so I did 2 rounds in the morning, 2 in the afternoon, and 1 before bed. The reason I did this is that whenever my heart rate gets too high, my jaw starts to ache and I get a little nauseous (due to my wisdom teeth extraction on monday). So I did each round pretty casually and didn't time anything. All in all, I've been pretty lucky with my recovery so far and I hope to at the very least finish L5D3 on Friday - even if I get a really slow time.

Can't wait to get back to eating solid food and doing pull-ups on a bar instead of a door when I get back to school.

Just getting it done under those conditions is terrific. Great job.
