Rosencrantz1's log
Hi all.
Started with Week 1, even though I knew that starting higher might make more sense. I figured I would just cruise through the early weeks until I naturally found the right level for me.
So, here are my week 1 numbers:
L1,D1 - 52 rounds
L1, D2 - 2:45
L1, D3 - 1:26
I'm 41, 5'10, 153lbs, about 10% bf, been following The Primal Blueprint and doing IF for about a year. My training for the last year has been a combination of kettlebell (Enter the Kettlebell) and TRX/bodyweight work. I came to simplefit because I was feeling a little burnt out on the KB and wanted a change.
I'm working out 5 days/week right now, on this schedule:
Monday - KB swings/Turkish Get-ups; target total workout time: 25-30 minutes
Tuesday - Simplefit D1 + core work; target total workout time 30-35 minutes
Wednesday - sprints at track or jumprope; target total workout time 20-25 minutes
Thursday - Simpletfit D2 + core work; target total workout time 20-30 minutes
Friday - off
Saturday - Simplefit D3 + core work; target total workout time 20-30 minutes
Sunday - off

Righteous!
Re: Rosencrantz1's log
I'm gonna make a wild guess that you'll be moving up this week.

L2, D2 - 3:04
Thanks, folks. I figure I'll be moving up each week until I hit level 5 or 6; I just wanted to a) give my body a bit of a break from the relatively intense kettlbell training I'd been doing and b) lay some groundwork for the higher levels of simple fit. I know I probably could have jumped in at level 4 or 5, but this way no stone unturned, you know?

Re: Rosencrantz1's log
I think that's a good approach. But, yeah, you won't really feel it or slow down until at least level 5 or so. Great job!

Had to stop once to break up the pull-ups, but otherwise just went straight through.

Had to break the pull-ups up a bit, maybe 3 or 4 sets, but I kept the form solid.
Push-ups and squats I could do all the way through in a single set. On to L4!

L4, D1 - 41 rounds.
Definitely worked a lot harder today than I have been. But I did keep really good form on the pull-ups, so I'm glad.

When I compare mine results to those...I feel
Keep up the good work

Thanks, Yahel - no need to feel embarrassed. We're all just working on making ourselves healthier, and all deserve credit for that, whatever point we are in the journey.
L4, D2 - 4:17
n.b.: on my D2 days, I'm doing chin ups and diamond push-ups (i.e., thumbs/forefingers touching beneath my sternum). This is to hit biceps and triceps harder on D2 workouts. On D1/D3, I'm doing standard shoulder-width pull-ups and shoulder-width push-ups.

Re: Rosencrantz1's log
Awesome. That's a great variation. I find the diamond push-ups dramatically harder.
