That's great doing 26 rounds on your first attempt at Level 3. You should be proud. Just think how far you have progressed already.

Hi all,

I know it has been a long time, but I am trying to get started on Simplefit again. Last time I only managed to do ~2 months or so before losing consistency, so going to give it another try.

W1 L1D1 - 32 rounds. Felt pretty good, maybe even could squeeze in another round or two; however, this put me out of commission for the rest of the week.

Will start with W2 L1D2 tomorrow.

Last time I began SF I started on Day 2 and as someone who does little upper body exercises, I think it helped acclimate me more gently to the program so I never felt like I needed to skip a day for recovery. This time, in the days following, any strain or attempt to do light exercises and I felt like I was going to actually damage my body up until yesterday.

W2 L1D2 - 15:10 total time no stops. Breaks 2:00 minutes a piece.

Push ups were the most difficult. By fourth round had to break them into sets of two, and last round pretty much had to go one at a time.

W2 L1D3 - 7:22

Pull ups: 8,2

Push ups again were my weakest point. 6,3,2...remaining were one at a time.

Any suggestions on how to do remedial work or supplemental exercises that will help during off days? Both starting SF for a second time, and my first iteration push ups felt like my limiting factor.

Hello, Art. I too struggle with push-ups, but I think the best fix is...more push-ups. Sometimes I will leave my pull-up bar in position all day on Day Three. After the timed workout, when I feel recovered, I will do 5 pull-up and 10 push-up sets throughout the day, sometimes ten or more of these. I'll let you know if I notice an improvement. For now, I just feel a sense of accomplishment by doing this. I also use Hindu push-ups and bridging, a la Matt Furey Combat Conditioning.

Hey Pilgrim,

Well seems like I am in line for a lot of extra push ups then! I was a little worried about repeating last weak and the associated muscle/tendon? strain, so I went a bit easier for the remainder of last week. I'll start in this week on making sure to incorporate walk by sets for extra work.

Thanks!

Also W3 L1D1 - 30 rounds. Again push ups the most difficult part. I also felt really low energy today, and I am thinking it is possibly I didn't eat enough today, but in general I think I need to start putting more focus on readjusting my vegetarian diet along side simplefit. Hoping tomorrow everything feels in good shape.

Anyone have suggestions or experience with low inflammation and keto vegetarian diets?

Rounds: with 2:00 min rests
1- 0:44
2- 0:42
3- 0:44
4- 0:43
5- 0:46

Those are very nice D2 times. I also think doing a little extra work through the week is an OK way to build up. It is an interesting thing that Simplefit starts as a routine for staying in shape, but pretty soon you find yourself thinking through the rest of the week what you can be doing to improve your simplefit times.
