Week 1

L1D1= 14 rounds
L1D2= 5:55
L1D3= 4:47

Started working out about 5 weeks ago just basic bodyweight stuff to prep myself before undertaking Simplefit. Glad I did that because this is tougher than it looks. Sticking with Level 1 for now. Need to think more about form than time. I get worried about the stopwatch and that isn't good...

Welcome Reed913!

I've only been at SF for a few weeks, but I've noticed form can play a big role in how well a set goes. Hopefully your focus on form now will pay good dividends for future SF experience.

Best of luck!

Welcome on board. It is a lot tougher than it looks, but this looks like a great start!

Some people focus more on form on some days and more on speed the others. But, I think especially at the early stages it is important to build a really solid foundation of good form so you can crank the speed up later.

Thanks for the welcome Art50 and KTG. Today I am starting week 2 still on Level 1. Now that I'm back at work this will be the true test of my endurance and dedication.

Week 2

L1D1 = 20 rounds
L1D2= 5:23
L1D3= 4:45

Decent week. Day 1 just smokes me though. I have no idea how anyone can do 30 + rounds -- amazing. Doing nothing extra other than walking to and from work everyday. Total walk time about 30 minutes. Also climb the 5 flights of stairs to my office. But then sedentary most of the day working. Trying to watch my diet a little, but not great. Seem to have lost some bodyfat, I think...although weight isn't really an issue just the spare tire. Moving to Level 2 on Monday. Motivation still good.

Great job through level 1!

Day one is a real grind for everyone. But, it's that work that makes the other stuff get faster.

Week 3

L2D1= 15 rounds -- got distracted with things going on in the house. Could have cranked out a few more. Oh well.
L2D2= 6:22
L2D3= 7:04 -- last 6 pullups were brutal.

Start Level 2 again on Monday. Really noticing bodyfat going away. Weight pretty stable. The Halloween candy is now appearing in the office -- trying to avoid it.

Going on a hike on Sunday. Maybe try a tree pullup !

Week 4

L2D1 = 19 rounds varied pushups somewhat wide and narrow
L2D2 = 6:00
L2D3 = 6:28

Numbers better than last week. So that's an improvement. Wish my D1 rounds would improve more. My time getting from pushup position to the squat seems to take too long and I lose time. I blame it on my age !
Next week is my take it "EZ" week. Back to Level 1 ugh.

Nice progress. It may be too late to suggest not taking a rest week, but I've noticed in other logs that some people don't take rest periods very often. Sometimes things come up that they count as rest periods, like vacation or getting sick or whatever, but in general people seem to disobey that part of the recommendation, depending on how they feel. So maybe don't take the week if you feel good about your progress?

I did consider not taking the "rest" week, but I did step down to Level 1. Did 21 rounds which is a new record for me. Still kind of lame considering the numbers that others post but we all do what we can do. Next week I'm back to L2.

Some of these guys are machines, the numbers they post frankly scare me. But they're an inspiration too and, newbie though I am, I feel like maintaining motivation and developing consistency is more than half the battle. The fact that we're still here weeks after signing up and haven't wussed out is already a major victory in my book. Huzzah!

Been away from SF for a few weeks. Getting back on a regular schedule hopefully soon once I finished moving. I hate losing my progress, plus the holidays coming up. Been working out with weights off and on. Not really into it. Prefer SF. Things are super quiet on the boards. Hardly anyone posting workouts anymore. Where is everyone ??

Agree with you that it's gone quiet, I just post on a weekly basis now and pop in now and then using the boards to just log my progress. I wouldn't worry too much about the numbers for now as other have suggested, I got distracted trying to beat rounds and times and realised that form suffered. I now make sure I am doing the movements with proper form and hope the speed will come with less time between sets.

Good luck, keep it up.

Well I'm back at it again after a few months absence -- in other words being a bum.

I'm starting my week count over again.

Back to Level 1

Week 1
L1D1 / 15 rounds
L1D2 / untimed
L1D3 / 6:04
