Welcome on board. That's a fantastic start! I would expect you'll be up at level 5 or 6 in no time.

It's nice to have an outdoor workout space. The pull up bar looks high -- maybe it is an illusion. What's the green thing on the wall with the handle ?? I have to go to a park if I want to get my SF in outside. Keep training Brown. Good Luck.

Hey Reed yeah the pull up bar is pretty high i have to jump to get on it originally bought it for the inside of a door frame but i hated it there so i drilled it into the wall few years ago would of been better lower but cant be bothered to move it.

The green thing is a hose pipe it keeps it all neat.
o and excuse the door its falling to bits need a new one

I think its a good thing going to the park at least it gives you an excuse to get out the house different scenery, nature if its that kind of park good for the soul

Thanks for the comment
Paul

Day 1 Level 2 1 pull up, 3 push ups and 4 squats, 20 minutes

63 rounds

I'm a bit gutted that I dint do more I felt super strong physically but my lungs let me down I was gasping for breath, slavering the lot. haven't done a lot of running for a long time just now and again, I used to do competitions a long time ago one of the hardest races I did was an 8.8 mile race with hills all over it the very last hill was called Heartbreak hill I may have to get back up there to get my lungs sorted.

One thing that i have had trouble with for a few years now is massive migraines straight after a hard workout they occurred a few months into boxing during circuit training. I feel physically ill when they arrive I can't speak, can't exercise, cant drive home and I'm almost sick this lasts for a good 20 minutes anyway I found out today that I get them doing this as well the good news is i found something that stops me getting them. So if any of you guys get them try electrolytes/electro tabs/zero

Image

I'm not sure what crap they put in them there's a lot of stuff I've never heard of. I always thought if I ate well id have a lots of nutrients, goodness and it would clear up but it never did so these saved me from being tortured every training session I'm still on the look out for a better solution but for now these will do.
I take one maybe 1 hour or half hour before training today i took one but i dint end up training for another 5 hours so it wore off and caused me some serious headaches.

Cheers dude wasn't easy did a lot of boxing left part of my soul in that gym. We use to do a certain circuit every night which at the time i thought was the worst thing man had ever invented until he came up with a harder one I will share with you what it was:

10 Press ups
10 Sit ups with a twist
10 Burpees
10 V sits
10 Squat jumps (alternating leading leg)
10 Wide arm press ups
10 Double Crunches
10 Squat Thrusts
!0 Killers (I do believe these a called bastards)
10 Kicks (arms out straight kick to opposite hand)

now do these 3x 1 minute rest

Now the harder one is this:

start by doing the circuit in 10's nice and slow warm up, 1 minute rest then 20's

10-20 Press ups
10-20 sit ups with a twist
10-20 Jumping star jumps (bend knees, touch floor, jump)
10-20 Press up changes (Left arm in front press up, change to right in mid air)
10-20 Burpees
10-20 V Sits? (not sure this is the correct one memory lapse but regardless its going to test you)
10-20 Double crunch
10-20 Squat thrusts
10-20 Wide arm press ups
10-20 Killers

Our sessions are 1 hour 30 we would start the night off with the 10-20 circuit (300 exercises). Then at the end last 15 minutes do the first circuit so in total 600 exercises.

just thought id share it with everyone if they want to do extra training.

Hey Hekkate thanks for the post :P i would say try doing a normal chin up get as far as you can and hold it, try how ever many reps you are comfortable with then increase over time.

The best thing I would say though is you have to get your mind right before, during and after training. At boxing I would see loads of people come and go because it was so hard but the ones that stuck it out where the ones with a deep drive within themselves. It may of been to loose weight, become a great fighter or get fit etc. That's how people get truly fit its the reason you go up to the gym earlier than everyone else because of your deep desire to be fit/loose weight/do a single chin up it drives you to get up there even though you hate the training.

I hated training in everything I have done (I'm sure Muhammed Ali said that as well) but I wanted to be better than everyone else I was sick of getting destroyed in the ring or being to slow running so I would run the hardest route I knew of even if I ended up walking round.

So when you next come to do your chin up be brave, be strong, grab that bar and pull as far as you can when you get to the point you can't go no further hold/hang and drop shake yourself off be strong mentally and jump back up and keep going till you cant even hold on to the bar by next week/2 weeks/3 weeks or even a month you would of got there because you put the effort in.

Remember to have rest days for your muscles to recover but make sure you doing the training for the need to rest.
