It's been a long time since I've done Simplefit, I'm coming back for more! Time to restart this rig!
The past few months I have signed up for a gym membership (Planet Fitness, such a cheap deal) and have been going semi-regularly, but I want to get back into the bodyweight stuff with the intention of getting to Crossfit Level and looking like those guys from 300. I love the entire Crossfit philosophy.
I've decided to start at L3D1 again, results: 22 rounds (full dead hang pullups and nice slow form on everything with 1 minute rests in between every 5 rounds - so that's 4 minutes of resting)
Be able to bench my own body weight
Any thoughts, ideas, comments to guide me on my path?
Anyone have any experience with rings?

as soon as you can, start mixing in some scaled CF workouts. Go to my blog and look through the archives (link below)

Thanks for the advice volleyball_man, I went to your website: What a transformation! I bow down to you sir!
Anyway, I really want to do some scaled CF WOD's, is BrandX the only site with them? Is that where I should start? I'm thinking about making a 24" jumpbox and saving up for an olympic set so I can do the deadlifts ...
Until then, should I stay doing Simplefit?
Yesterday I did this: http://www.menshealth.com/cda/article.do?site=MensHealth&channel=fitness&category=workout.plans&conitem=b031b671d468d110VgnVCM10000013281eac____
This morning: L3D2 - 7:20

It's your choice. I love the SF for it's simplicity. It's the variation and unpredictability of CF that I really need tho. I still throw in a simplefit workout now and then.
Brandx pretty much has the only recognized scaling system. The CF main site links to it...
Thanks for the props but no need to bow. I'm here because I did what you are setting out to do and can do. I wasn't any better than anyone then and I'm not now. I am better than I was then at fitness....

I have been reading about Crossfit nonstop. I feel like I'm in decent enough shape to attempt some of the BrandX versions. Just need to wait so that I can buy an olympic set (wondering if I "need" the rubber bouncy weights that they always show on the videos). Anyone's thoughts?
On to the logs:
Yesterday - Did the medicine ball workout posted above with added flutter kicks and ran suicides in my driveway (set up beer bottles as the free throw/half court lines). Man they were harder than they looked. I did 2 sets of 2, brutal.
Today - L3D3, 5:08. I think I'm going to move onto Level 4 (even though I didn't quite break 5 minutes) Thoughts?
I'll keep watching the CF site to see if there's anything I can add into my workouts. Definitely the 400m stuff. My softball season is starting up and I can't wait to see how my new fitness level will feel.
Going to a Mets game tonight!

I have a big set of bumpers - I am an affiliate owner. I definitely recommend them. Once you start going overhead with heavy weight, you'll need to feel ok dropping them. I also have some HD olympic bars.

Anyone here have any luck with P90X or Paleo diet?
Yesterday - Did the medicine ball workout with flutter kicks at the end
Today - L4D1, 21 Rounds with 1 minute rests every 5 rounds

Just got the P90X workout materials, very excited to start it (especially follow the nutrition portion of it). I'm going on work travel to Georgia for 2 weeks coming up, so I'm going to have to start once I get back.
Any recommendations on how to continue Simplefit or workouts on the go/travel?
