Hi Bri3626 !

I have found running is very effective to get rid of stress.

The coolest way to run IMHO is to run "at random". Forget about running in circles with the rest of the crowd : just go primitive and find your way in the woods or something.

There's a post by Coine about that in the training Forum : "Running through the woods".

It's much more difficult but it's so much fun you don't realise :D

Sounds like a plan. We got a nice trail near the house thats got 12 miles of road.

Anyway late entry:

L1D3

Ran intervels

2 min at lvl 7 then 1 min at lvl 8 for approx 7 minutes then switched to:
2 min at lvl 6 then 1 min at lvl 8 for approx 8 minutes. Not sure how accurate that is I pulled out the emergency stop button on the treadmill by accident.

Then did 3 intervals of:

walk at 2.5 till heart rate went below 119. Took about 2.5 minutes. Then sprint at level 9 for one minute.

Felt pretty good. Intervels are a B***H. O.o

Pretty tough today. Was about 85-90 degrees. Felt okay though. Had to stop to answer a medical call. So I lost about a minute 45 seconds.

Didnt get yesterdays entry in. So for 19 Jun 2007:

1/2 hour intervels on treadmill
-- lvl 6 at 2 min then lvl 8 at one min for sprints up to 1.5 miles. Lets see took me 14:40 or so. Not exact on this as I didn't write it down.

-- Then for the rest of the half hour walked till heart rate < 120 alternating sprints at lvl 9 for one minute.

Felt pretty good. No excessive fatigue. Lacking the lactate threshold except for the very last sprint. Even that wasn't too bad. Thinking Im gonna up the sprint level next week to one min jog then one minute sprint. And/or put sprints at lvl 9. I'll see how I'm feeling then.

Thought I would do better but I'm about where I thought I would be. Pretty tough. Doing pullups in rain again. Makes it hard to grip that dam bar. ah well... Future crossfit member heheheheh Suckin it up baby...

Ok easy week again,

Pretty easy. No cheating on pullups. not too bad considering I did 21 when I started. woot!

Oh yeah 98 degrees too heh.

Felt guilty about the junk food binge yesterday so I did intervels for 1.5 miles.

Not sure of distance or times as I ran outside this time but I did it in 15:03.

Forgot what it was like running in hot weather heh. Even after a year I guess I'm gettin climatized.
