17 rounds. son did pretty dang good this time. very impressed.

30 second sprints followed by 1 min rest. 10 rounds

He finished 8 rounds however we had to increase the rest to 2 minutes after round 5. It fried him heh.

We are still going but my son wants to log his stuff elsewhere. Currently running for me. Waiting for surgery.

Interesting run this last Saturday. We did a four miler and started off with a basset hound following us. Turns out he can run 4 miles.

Who woulda thought a basset hound can run four miles...

Looks like one more week till the big surgery. son is up at college. got started in a Judo class too and is doing the simplefit workout up there.

I'm ready to get this over with and continue my quest for better fitness. So impatient...

good luck with the surgery

I had major hip surgery a couple years back and if I had to do it again I would stop working out 3 days before so I would have full strength for recovery. I worked out the day before and think it was not such a good idea

Surgery sucked! The guy scoped my shoulder and found a lot more damage than originally thought. So I have to go back and do it again. He isgoing to completly open up the shoulder to fix it. Looks like rehab is going to be a lot longer. SIGH...

It has been nutty for the last couple weeks. Long story short. I've found out that I have a complete labrum tear. The surgeon stated he had only heard of one other person with a complete tear before. Pretty extensive stuff.

Anyway, the 19th is the big day. Range of motion has gone down a lot. I am going to have to do some major rehab. Good news is it looks like I may be back at it sooner. Fingers are crossed.

Well the surgery has been completed. I'm still in a sling for a few more weeks. I currently have home physical therapy 3 times per week. I have an outstanding physical therapist. She is very nice and knowledgable. The orthopedist has ordered a strict regimen of assisted passive range of motion. I've been severely restricted in movement because of the instability of my shoulder. No driving, no work etc...

Hanging tough but, man, I'm pretty sure I will be going from level 7 back to level one. I may even have to do assisted pullups because of so much strength lost. Sigh...

First things first. Have to heal up and get the shoulder stable. Hope all goes well with everyone. Take care.

Make sure you eat really healthy to aid recovery.

well the Doc put me out for another month which I'm finishing up in the next 2 weeks. My regimen has consisted of 3 days a week physical therapy with passive range of motion. Essentially I haven't used any muscles in my deltoids or tricep of my right arm since August 28. I see him next week. Hoping he will let me start strength training soon.

Talk about starting at rock bottom. I can't lift my arm beyond shoulder level. I'll be doing wall pushups and attempts to grab an overhead bar to start my new workout heh. but at least I'll be able to start. Fingers are crossed!
