150 burpee pullups for time: 37 min and change.

didnt have a bar one foot overhead so jumped at end of burpee and had to walk to pullup bar which was approx 2-3 feet. bar is essentially at wrist height in full extension so was hard to dead hang pull-up. I tend to zone when I get tired enough. Anyway I completed it which was the goal in the first place.

"Ledesma" Puppy
AMRAP 20 min
5 handstand progression: hmmm, I put my feet back on the dumbell rack and scooted as close to the rack as I could get. no walls just machines around me.
10 knee raises
20 lbs ball cleans: no ball used 20 lbs dumbell.

8 rounds.
Lot harder than I thought and I thought I was pushing pretty hard. The pain in my shoulder while in full extension on the bar was immediate for the first 3 rounds but eased off as I moved up in reps (weird!). I think thats a good sign. Flexibility issue?
This was pretty tough for me but I decided to follow the BrandX folks advice. Need to work on it like its a metcon and not just try to get through it all. Yesterday was a good example. paced myself and completed but took 37 minutes.

5K run 28:32

At first my goal was to see if I could complete one on a treadmill at lvl 7. got 6 laps or a mile and a half. I think. may have been 5 laps. Anyway I wussed out and went to a walk till heart rate was below 130. Went back to lvl 7. did that a few times but can't remember when I actually slowed vs. ran. A couple times did lvl 8. End goal was to try and get under 30 as I realized I could do it. So I guess I should be happy. Did a 5k run not too long ago was > 30 minutes so can't complain. Until I can run outside the main goal I would like to attain is to be able to do this on a 10 degree incline.
Maybe in a couple weeks or so...*cough

"Wittman" BrandX level= pack mostly had to sub KB for DB, and no box so used 9 45 lbs plates.
5 rounds for times
35 lbs DB swing 15 reps
55 lbs power clean 15 reps
15 box jumps 20" (not sure how high 9 45 lbs plates are but I think it was 18 inches vs. 20)

Now I'm not sure but for me thats a pretty damn good time. This workout I really pushed to complete. However, I ran into two problems. First it was very obvious that my power clean SUCKS, so not sure if doing it right would have improved or worsened the time. Second I had to stop and keep the plates from sliding although it wasn't a huge distraction. I need to get some training. gonna have to talk to the boss and see if I can swing that.

Today was "Karen" puppy version
100 Wallball 10lbs ball 10 feet high. not sure if height was 10 or not gonna have to measure it. I'm thinking probably 9. Anyway completed in 7:30.

Dreaded this one all week for two reasons. First the number of reps was intimidating and thought it would be a lot harder. 2nd it I had to do it on the edge of a garage at my work. Essentially the windows were all pointed at me so I'm pretty sure a lot of people were thinking "wtf is he doing?". Anyway it went easier than I thought. And I think I could have done a 20 lbs ball and been gassed. Next time I'll try that and see. And actually measure the distance.

AMRAP 12 min

10 pullups
15 sec tuck sit

total 5 rounds and 4 pullups

baby version of wod the other day. wasn't gassed on this one. Just weak. Did standing pullups. Very obvious I'm not going to be able to do dead hang pullups for any number of reps soon. Still went very quickly to 1pullup shake it off one pullup. Just trying to get chin over bar. Tuck sits weren't so bad once I figured out the balance of it.

"McClusky" ummm puppy wod?

3 rounds for time

3 pullups/3 bardips (supposed to be muscleup progressions, no place to do that)
9 burpees
15 pullups
400 metre run

again pullups from a standing position not a dead hang.
run was lvl 7 zero degree incline.

uggghhh overestimated this one.

Three rounds for time of:
Run 400 meters
55 pound Squat snatch, 15 reps
9 Handstand push-ups -or- 15 Handstand push ups progressions

run was lvl 7 treadmill 4 deg incline. last set had to do lvl 6 was completely winded.
very obvious I dont have a clear cut understanding of squat snatch no matter how much I viewed this. fell over and lost balance and tweaked the shoulder in first set. Did 10 reps of OHS 25 lbs. for each set. also very hard due to a flexibility issue with shoulder.

15 handstand pushup progresssions. were easy enough. need a place to try actual hand stand pushups.

very upset today.

21-15-9 for time of 11:02

sumo deadlift high pull 65 lbs.
OHS 65lbs

very comfortable with the sumo and felt I should be able to do this. two reps into OHS had to drop it because I couldn't hold the damn thing up. Very obvious shoulder issue (once again). I believe this is a flexibility problem and not sure how to fix it. Went to front squats. Had immediate problem there with elbows dropping and pain in shoulder.
last two sets went to 25 lbs. for OHS... even with a measly 25 lbs Im really having to hold the weight up to prevent it going forward.

completed six reps of OHS/front squat first set at 65 lbs.
10 reps at 25 lbs. could have completed the 15 but frustration intervened
9 reps at 25 lbs.

I'm gonna have to dip into the wallet and get a trainer and/or start increasing yoga for flexibility.

AMRAP 20 min

5 dips
10 thrusters (30lbs)
15 situps

had a 10-15 sec walk between dips and thrusters. that kinda sucked so didnt do as well as I thought I should have. two tweaks to the shoulder. feeling fine now.

6 rounds + 5 dips.

10 100 M sprints 90 sec rest between.
treadmill began at lvl 9 4 deg incline was too easy
moved up to 10 then to 11 was actually still relatively easy last set did 10 degree incline and that was challenging, but by the time I figured it out I was on last set.

several problems I noticed. lvl 9 I ran 100m in approx 26 sec, however I had to speed the treadmill up to get to that speed. took time.
By the time I hit lvl 11 I was still at or around 26 seconds. Makes no sense. Realize I need to measure out a place to sprint and do it on the road.

Lot of ache in the shoulder today. Very annoying. Think I need to see if the shoulder is still intact or if I've injured it again. My biggest fear and it's hindering my ability to do better at this.
The positive side is I've lost 20 lbs. since I began 3 months ago. Have stuck almost religiously with meat, two veggies, nuts, fruits, since then so I guess I'm shouldn't complain but I really want to get stronger and missing out on the OLY stuff is pissing me off. So first step is to see the doc, make sure I haven't done anything, then get a trainer. F*%* the cost.
