AMRAP 12 min "pack" version

135 lb bench 3 reps
185 lbs squat 5 reps

had to sub bench for a machine otherwise I would have been pulling bench in and out of squat rack. gay huh? anyway weight was 130. definitely easier than regular bench. probly good for shoulder.
Put 185 on rack form went to crap immediately so dropped to 155lbs. got two sets of that in before form went to crap. dropped to 135 and was a little better. very obvious my strength I spent years developing is gone. for a skinny guy its disappointing.
Anyway completed 5 rounds + 3reps bench.

had pain in shoulder on squats. again not sure if something is wrong or not.

With a continuously running clock do one pull-up the first minute, two pull-ups the second minute, three pull-ups the third minute... continuing as long as you are able.

Ok, actually dead hanged to see what I could do. got to 5. so not bad considering where i was not too long ago.

completed 5
then 6 standing pullups
then 7 jumping. was going beyond the minute

did slow pullups, no kipping. cant do em. so screw it I'll learn to deadhang pullups.

For time:

1/2 mile run
30 situps
30 back extensions. subbed morning glorys, no way to do the extensions used 25 lbs.
1/2 mile run

started run on treadmill. Lvl 7.5 4 deg incline approx 1 lap and changed went to 7.0 tired quickly dropped incline to 0
last 1/2 mile was 7.0 felt better and last 1/8 mile ran at lvl 8. Not sure if I could (should?) have pushed this running part. The situps and morning glory's were fairly easy. breathing pretty hard from the running was only interference.

total time 13 min 49 sec. When I finished I started walking on treadmill and forgot the stopwatch. no clue what the actual time is but I would say 30 sec to a minute i added to clock.

substituted thrusters doing 20 lbs

pullups were the hardest. didn't really gas out. just too weak on pullups. lot of stopping and starting on this.

time was 13 and change.

11 rounds with a minute left over. gassed pretty much and wimped out. pretty sure I could have completed the pullups. Oddly enough the pushups kicked my butt.

all pullups were standard pullups. no cheating. very light kipping toward the end. Feeling pretty good about that considering where my pullups were in Nov 2010.

100 metre sprint
rest one min between each round. record each round.

unsure if you take high and low score or add together.

High: was 2:17
Low: 1:30 (bet you can guess at what point this time occurred)

oddly enough my score improved last 3 rounds.

5k run approx 32 min. wussed out and had some knee pain so walked basically went like this:

1 mile lvl 6.0
1/8 mile walked
1/4 mile 7.0
3/4 mile walked
1/8 mile 8.0
finished rest at 6.0


"Chipper" pack level

40 burpees
30 situps
30 db swings 35 lbs
25 pullups
20 HSPUP's

burpees kicked my ass. pullups slowed me down as usual.

10 L-pullups: did l-sit pullups
15 pushups
10 chest to bar pullups
15 pushups
10 pullups
15 pushups

I petered out very quickly. Literally could not do pushups by 2nd round and had to go to jumping pullups on 2nd round. I finished the 2nd round of L-sit pullups with many stops and starts, pushups were nil by rep 10. I was 16 min plus at that point. stopped the clock.

did a couple rounds of standard L-sits for 15 sec each shaking a lot. got kinda pissed I couldnt complete and went and did a round of 10 pullups and 15 bardips weighted assist at 60 lbs. completed pullups, couldn't complete bardips failed around 10.

20 lbs db thruster

was hard and should have done 5 rounds but thought it said 4. legs feel pretty pumped and weak all at once. weird sensation. This was really my first time I studied cleans and actually put serious effort into doing it right so it took more time to complete the cleans. all in all felt good about it but the time was pretty crappy.

again pullups were my loss point. a lot of standing pullups instead of full dead hang then pullup so can't really count em as "real" pullups.
liked this workout a lot. kind of followed in line with simplefit regimens.

Thruster 3-3-3-3-3-3-3

3- 70 lbs. very comfortable
3- 80 lbs. very comfortable
3- 90 lbs. problem with holding the weight right arm full extension. wasn't a fatigue or weakness I don't think. didn't feel that way. more of a control problem.
3- 90 lbs. stayed with this but continued to have a problem 2nd rep weight fell forward and unable to hold it.
3- 80 lbs. not too bad. bit of the same control at full extension
completed the rest at 80 lbs. seemed a little better on control when I gripped the dumbells hard.

was db thrusters not barbell as area I'm in is impossible to do without striking equipment. Good news is no shoulder problems. Think the control issue is really a matter of keeping a tight core on lift vs. loss of arm strength. Todays thruster experience was more a test to see how my shoulder would handle it anyway so feel pretty good considering.

AMRAP 15 minutes

9 reps 155 lbs deadlift
12 pushups
15 box jumps 24 inch

4 rounds + 9 reps of deadlifts. no cheating on this wod today.

interrupted 2x by fellow coworkers, thinking I could have been somewhere on the 4th round of box jumps.
anyway box jumps was 12 45 lbs plates stacked and it was shaky so was dealing with resetting it every couple jumps.

10 min 15 sec

was an odd workout had to use a pullup machine that uses weights if you can't do a pullup. removed the weight but was still obstructed. had to transition from standing to full dead hang. knees bent standard pullup.

did 3 Lsits after
sprinted 1/4 mile 1 min 50 sec treadmill
hiked 15 deg incline to see how it would feel after all that. felt good heart rate was in 150 range but not excessively tired.

400 meter run
5 back squats

I sucked at this so bad I'm not even sure it should be counted. did first round without starting the timer got to round 3 and fatigued so badly I could barely stand. Went like this:

400 meters 7.5 treadmill essent 8 mph run was on 4 degree incline
5 squats 135 lbs.
400 meters 7.0 treadmill (sucking air bad at this point)
5 squats 135 lbs.
400 meters 6.5 treadmill
5 squats 135 lbs.
200 meters (guess this would be where I hit the wall)

time ended up being 12 min and change. considering how i started and couldnt complete I'd call it a fail to time accurately.
