first hopper type workout
FT- 16:25

15 walking lunge
12 pullups
25 box jumps
12 double unders
15 Bar dips
20 knees to elbows
15 db swings 40 lbs
30 situps
12 hang squat cleans 20 lbs
12 morning glories 25 lbs
15 thrusters 20 lbs
15 towel pullups

went pretty easy lotta heavy breathing. cleans, glories, and thrusters were too easy, towel pullups were very hard. was a finger grip problem.

Been at a conference all week. Long hours so didn't get as much workout time in as I wanted.

did worse than last time. after this week, I believe I miscounted for 7 sep 11.

Did something stupid today. Tried the xfit wod which was

5 rounds max reps bodyweight bench and pullups

warmed up nicely, put 180 lbs on bar after a light set of 135 lbs. felt good and wrenched my back on the second rep. took me about 20 minutes for the pain to resolve. Spasm was ugly.

Decided thats not what I was gonna do so ran 1.5 miles on treadmill.

Decided to retry yesterdays failed workout. Dropped the bench press to 155 lbs vs 180. Would love to be sitting at 180 but just not gonna happen right now. Still thats 86% of BW so for now its okay

5K run

I realized that my endurance at a faster pace peters out pretty much past 15 minutes which sucks. I wonder if that is a function of the xfit type workouts or not. Good news is that the last time I did a 5K I was over 30 minutes with a lot of stops and starts. Stopped this time at 1.5 miles. Was blowing air really bad. recovered and ran to finish. alternated lvl of treadmill started at lvl 7.8 went well to 1.5 miles. petered out pretty quick after that. walked almost 1/4 mile then ran lvl 9, 8, 7.5, 7.0.

sort of a mini-xfit warmup before and after run except did one round then stretching at the end.

5 pushups
10 mountain climbers
20 situps
10 squats

situps were substituted on a plyo ball. was a pain in the ass but its all I had

sort of a puppy/pack version of "Santiago"

18 reps 30 lb db Hang squat clean
18 Pullups
8 reps 95 lbs hang clean
20 HSPU progressions

Holy Hell this was hard! The hang clean really took it out of me. I thought was going to be the easiest part. I only completed 2 sets + 2 Hang cleans and was over 20 minutes. Huffin and puffin worse than I've done in a long time. Really have to find a trainer (if I say it enough times maybe I'll go).

Made up a workout today. Tabata style. 4 exercises 5 min each one min rest between exercise.

Pullups 42
Burpees 37
Run .67 miles treadmill (approximated as I forgot to write down)
DB swings 40 lbs 60


Figured I'd get more pullups than that but I was down to sets of 1 by the time I hit one minute mark. Burpees knocked the sails out of me.

7 rounds 33 min

Was going well until round 7. Got off treadmill and got pretty dizzy and lightheaded. I think I would have been right at 45 minutes or a little over if I had kept going.

35 lbs squat clean
double under
65 lbs dead lift
20 inch box jump
start each round with 50 M bear crawl

Didnt have 50 meter area wasn't sure the distance but did 10 x back an forth from one machine to treadmill. Very Hard. messed up reps on 2 nd round for bear crawl.

ultimately took me 26:42

was too tired today. decided to call it quits. lost too much sleep over the last couple days. and a lot of stress.

Death by pullups
continuously running clock
1 pullups first minute
2 pullups 2nd minute
3 pullups 3rd minute etc until unable to complete required number of pullups

10 +7

2 1/4 mile sprints lvl 10 on treadmill
practiced pistols with 10 lbs weight basically 3 reps each leg just touching butt on a chair.
